We absolutely loved our experience in this house! Emily was a fantastic hostess, brought us a welcome basket and made sure we were settled in.
Our kids adored the bunk room, and the adults appreciated the separate rooms upstairs. This historical aspect of the house is great, and the wood interior provides a cozy feel. The bath house was immaculate (despite rain and mud) and smells wonderfully from the cedar. Everything is eco, and runs on rainwater.
There is also a little porch that has board games and corn hole, and when we asked about making a fire, they set up a fire pit as well.
The property is a lovely area in a great location for day-trips (we visited several swimming holes and Austin.) It is an easy drive to Hamilton Pool, Inks Lake, Lake Travis, Blue Hole, Jacob's Well, Krause Springs, Marble Falls, Pedernales Falls, etc. etc. It is 'out' enough to make you feel like you are in the country, but there are still all of the modern conveniences close by when needed.
There is a charming little path that walks through to Stanley's Pizza (AMAZING pizza and beer with outdoor seating and a mud-pie play area for kids) and a brewing company as well.
We loved our Memorial Day weekend here and highly recommend it, especially if you enjoy camping but have a high-maintenance person or two in your group... very lovely "glamping" weekend!!
