Cozy and interestingly decorated little house in quiet, wide, luminous street in the historical center. Plenty of parking. A mini garden of aromatic herbs and plants grows on the little terraced curb where one can sit and enjoy the view of the port.
In Castellammare del Golfo's historical center, in luminous, quiet, wide street. Mountain view on one side and port view on the other. Car can be parked in front of the house.
This little house is a typical Sicilian "locu di casa" where the kitchen with spacious pantry, comfortable bathroom with shower, living/dining room occupy the ground floor and the main bedroom and a smaller room with bunk beds occupy the upstairs. Wooden floors upstairs, closets, comfortable beds. In the living room there is a queen size sofa bed that can accommodate the fifth guest.
The front door opens on a little recess in the curb decorated with vases of haromatic herbs, flowers and plants, which can be enjoyed as "dehors" to sit in the sun and read the paper while observing the activity on the street. A sun curtain provides shade. The house is a short walking distance from the Marina (where in the morning you can buy fish off the fishermen's boat), easy trails up the mountain with stunning views, the open air market, shopping, and the bus main station. The most beautiful, renowned beaches such as Scopello's faraglioni and Guidaloca are max 10 minutes away by car. La Riserva dello Zingaro, hikers' heaven on earth, is also 10 minutes away. Main bus station (with buses going to beaches, train station, Palermo, Trapani and other location) a short walking distance away.

My little house is decorated and kept with love and care. I love my guests to feel at home and to treat them with a basket of fruit or something similar when they arrive. They will also find some basic supplies in the kitchen (which I'd like them to replace before they leave). I request them to treat my home like their home. Guests are allowed to use the equipment available in the kitchen and the washing machine. Manuals explaining the use of appliances are in the cabinet next to the kitchen. If something is broken, please let me know and replace it-so your security deposit won't be used. I expect my guests to be mindful of the usage of water, gas and especially electricity. Make sure to turn off the gas stove when you are done cooking and turn off water heater after use.

Hello, my name is Nelly. I've lived in Genova, Italy until 20 years ago and then I moved to Los Altos, California in the San Francisco Bay Area. In Genova I owned one of the most traditional food specialty stores: Torte e Farinata Antica Sciamadda. In the US I have been teaching Italian cooking and culture for two decades and lead culinary tours in various Italian regions. My passion is to cook, preferably with others. So, if interested, I can teach guests a few things during their stay. Another passion is "home". I love to make guests feel at home and create a "home away from home" for them.
