With Airbnb the listing is the contract that the guest agrees to. We do have a policy that if guests are staying for more than a month, they have to allow and pay for a monthly cleaning at $60. This is clearly stated in the listing. Jennifer missed it in the listing and argued with me about it--so this would probably be why she thought I was rude. I didn't allow her to just alter what she had agreed upon by booking. We have had quite a bit of experience with groups of interns staying for 3 months and never cleaning or changing linens during that time. We don't like this. Jennifer insisted and insisted that they were super clean and tidy, so we agreed to just one cleaning. When Lisa showed up at the home to clean she found it was a complete mess. Dirty clothing all over the floors and beds. She didn't feel comfortable touching their dirty personal items, so she didn't change the sheets. She refunded a portion of the cleaning fee for that, though she had spent more than the agreed upon 2 hours cleaning. She found herself picking contact lenses off walls, lamps, headboards and collecting dirty, wadded up tissues from all over the bedroom. They had clearly not cleaned any amount themselves in the 6 weeks they had been there. Not quite the tidy girls Jennifer promised and promised.
