This 900sqft. Craftsman Cottage features
Large open floor plan. Clutter free. Upper level deck. SLEEP NUMBER CAL KING BED. Lots of closet and drawer space. Ceiling fans in living and bedroom. Sectional sofa available for 1 additional guest.

All the comforts of home. Coffee, tea, coffeemaker, blender, microwave and all the essentials to get your stay off to a great start.

Private secure attached garage that passes the laundry then upstairs to living areas.
Modern bathroom and temperature controlled shower.
Hardwood floors and hard surface stone in kitchen,bath and entry.
All modern appliances with LG super quiet dishwasher and a professional range.


Backyard orchid garden. Perfect gor a pleasant walk through.
Upper backyard deck with chairs. Please no entertaining outdoors after 10pm

The garden gets watered early almost daily and is used primarily by the owner.

You will be 7 blocks to the beach and Main Street is on the way with shopping restaurants and bars. Downtown Santa Monica and the pier are about a mile. An easy walk for most. A newly completed downtown park is on the way. Please enjoy.

If you are thinking of a stay here I want to thank you for your consideration. I sincerely hope and strive to assure all guest of every detail in my explanation of this Airbnb listing. I would like to note the location is west of Pacific Coast Highway and as explained above the distances to the the locations are accurate. If your looking to step out the door and have a Starbucks and sand under your feet this may not be the right place for your visit. I have maintained 5 star ratings on everything except 4 out of 50 4 stars and all on the location. My aim here is to achieve a customer satisfaction of 100%. By all means I welcome everyone and if you stay and feel indifferent about the explanation of this location I want your honest opinion.

Main Street is about seven blocks or less than 1/2 mile. The beach is 1 1/2 blocks past Main Street. Abbot Kinney and downtown Santa Monica are equal distance from this location. About a mile. This is a 15 to 20 minute walk depending how you walk it may be less or more.

Maximo the Maine Coon cat lives on the property and will probably be checking in on you if you leave the door open. Although you would be hard pressed to find a cat hair, persons with pet allergies must put your health first when considering a stay here.

You can bring a small well behaved dog( not more than 15 pounds please.)or any domestic cat on your stay. Your pets must stay indoors please. Maximo rules the garden. Please no rough playing with dogs indoors.

LAX is about 20 minutes by taxi during off peak hours.
Enterprise car rental is 1 block and usually more affordable than LAX rental prices. There is a bike rental station 1 block.

Gelson's supermarket is a block away and Whole Foods is 8 blocks or about a 10 minute walk. Starbucks about half the distance on the way to Whole Foods.

Please, no parties and no smoking indoors.

I stock the standard soap shampoo conditioner etc. however guest staying more than a week should bring your own favored toiletries.

Entire house except part of the ground level. The ground level wing of the house used by the owner. Backyard and orchid garden is a pleasant walk through to the rear entrance of the house. The garden is small and beautiful but not appropriate for relaxing. Max rules the back garden and your dog is asked to avoid the rear yard.
Owner may access the garage parking for tools and other required property maintenance.

Autres remarques

The garage fits a midsize-car or and SUV. Denali, Yukon, Aramada SUV's or similar large size limo style cars will fit comfortably in the garage.
The garage is attached to the house. You park your car and a door from the garage goes into the house. Press the close door button on the way into the house to close the garage door.
There is forced air conditioning in all rooms. The thermostat does not cool below 74 degrees F.

Nous sommes restés 4 jours chez Tom et nous sommes très satisfait de ce séjour. Le lit est très confortable, l'appartement très propre, La cuisine bien équipée, le jardin est exceptionnel plein d'orchidées dont Tom prend soin, le quartier est chouette et sécurisant, il y a un supermarché de l'autre cote de la rue et La plage se trouve à 20 minutes à pied en passant par un quartier résidentiel très sympa. Bref c'était awesome !!!!!

We had a great time in Toms cottage. This was a beautiful house with a spacious and airy living room and everything we needed. Its location was perfect for our days of exploring Santa Monica, Venice Beach and the beach. If you don't mind a walk, the beach is an easy distance away. All in all a wonderful experience with Toms house!

A well-appointed abode close to the beach and the hustle and bustle of Santa Monica. Lots of creature comforts and plenty of room for two. The garage was key. Definitely recommend!

Loved it! Tom was great and he is a craftsman who has put many great touches into the construction of his Craftsman Cottage. Two notes for guests: Parking: another guest commented on tight fit for Camry, I found it to be no problem for my Subaru Forester; GPS: I used Waze which had trouble finding; did better with (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps, note you need to be on the West/beach side of PCH/Lincoln, past the Blick Art Materials store; Waze had me circling on the east side of PCH, which is wrong.

Tom was a great host! And he was very kind with us. The house was great, clean and it has everything you need to have a pleasent stay. We highly recommend it!
