John's historic home is situated in the attractive Diamond Hill neighborhood, close to nearby restaurants and destinations. In addition to his cleanliness, John has attractively decorated the entire house. He went out of his way to ensure that I had a comfortable and noteworthy trip. I enjoyed our conversations and his local knowledge of Lynchburg and Virginia. A+ experience.
John was a very considerate and welcoming host. The house and neighborhood are lovely, especially if you like historic homes. It is a hilly area. I had a class to attend, so I did not have much time to explore. But the downtown area is very close. Just some notes: my husband and I opted not to cook in the kitchen except to microwave food, and we needed to share the shower. We liked the breakfasts that John prepared, and our room was quiet and comfortable. I found myself admiring the interior decorations in our room often. Also, John's dog is very well behaved. We enjoyed our stay!
