Walk to Hanes Park, 4th Street, at least six restaurants. Residential neighborhood adjacent to downtown. Sunny, large rooms, stylish design, gorgeous kitchen, vintage baths, abundant charm, plenty of parking (top of driveway, plenty of street parking right in front).
This rental is for the upper level house/apartment. There is a separate Airbnb apartment unit downstairs (Stylish, Historic, Lower Level). We ask guests to be mindful of the downstairs guests, and not make excess noise.
This sunny, cheerful, turn-of-the-century Victorian has been transformed into a stylish residential retreat.
WiFi, cable, plus streaming TV with plenty of stations, and a stunning full kitchen with granite counters, stainless appliances, and cookware and dishes for six.
Washer-dryer, one bath with original claw-foot tub/shower (may be difficult to access for those with limited mobility), one with a shower-jet tub combo.
The private back deck has stairs leading down to a fenced back yard. Gardeners will come and go in the yard, particularly the back yard.

This rental is for the main/upper floor only (2 bedrooms/2 baths, living, dining, kitchen), deck and large back yard with a variety of gardening projects underway.
There is a second unit now available in the Lower Level. There is no access or shared entry between the two units. Lower level guests take exterior steps down to the Lower Level. Be aware that the guests downstairs can hear your hard shoes and raised voices. (Please try not to disturb them.)
Walk to Hanes Park, the YMCA, Grace Park and nearly a dozen restaurants. Short drive to downtown, grocery stores, etc. See the extensive guidebook at the house or in the listing.

I live in town, approx. 15 minutes away, and make every effort to respond quickly to text, email, or cell-phone calls. There is a comprehensive guest information book on the coffee table in the living room. The property owners live a few blocks away in the Historic West End district and one is a very successful Realtor (top producer of 2015!).
Guests can park one car off-street, at the top of the driveway. There is usually plenty of unrestricted street parking in front. We'll leave the porch lights on for you, and we will send you the door code the day before your arrival.
Unfortunately we can no longer accept dogs.
This is an historic home, over 100 years old. It has quirks. Please treat this property as if it belonged to a good friend. Make yourself at home, but be gentle with our furnishings and thoughtful with our plumbing. We can no longer accept pets.
The house is in a residential neighborhood, and we ask you not to disturb the neighbors with loud or objectionable behavior.
No smoking in the house. You're welcome to smoke on the porch or deck (please clean up after yourself).
The house is not childproofed, and is suitable for adult occupants. We have successfully hosted a variety of children, but please contact to discuss yours.
For safety and insurance reasons, no fires or burning candles.
