This is our full and honest review. This spacious apartment is great for cleanliness, it is reasonably well equipped. Its location was good in the sense that it is 5-10 mins walk to seafront, old town and shops, restaurants etc. It has plenty of beds as well including an extra ZEd bed. However, you are in the town so it is noisy during the night with loud conversations in the building at 3am and outside with traffic, loud conversations etc during the night. The host Maria, I'm sure is probably nice but our personal experience with her marred our rental experience unfortunately. We were delayed on arrival and did arrive very late with three small children we were unfortunately told off by Maria and despite profusely apologising as our flight was delayed and roads were slow in the dark. We were left feeling very embarrassed and nervous by her and left with a bad first impression. It would have been nicer to have been welcomed with some refreshments and sympathy as we were clearly tired and stressed after an extra long, difficult journey. Finally after we left. Maria texted to say we had broken a part of one of the mosquito screens which we did not even use. I explained that we did not use that balcony but she has told me she will be telling Airbnb. This is all made more difficult as Maria only speaks in Italian so communication was a bit difficult. Perhaps something was lost in translation. Although a minor issue, it has given us a bad memory of this apartment and host which is a shame. Although we paid £150 a night we were made to feel like a bit of an inconvenience. However this was a specific set of circumstances with us and this should not let you be put off from renting this great apartment which is as described.
