Someone is in the gallery every day (see "Guest Access" above) and we are always happy to answer questions or help in any way we can/
The Commons is just a few feet away from the waters of Passamaquoddy Bay, where the mighty tides roll in and out twice a day, rising and falling as much as 25 feet vertically. From the deck you can spot whales, seals, cormorants and other marine creatures, not to mention that the sun rises over Campobello Island, New Brunswick. We are part of Eastport's Historic District, one of 29 buildings on the National List of Historic Places. Restaurants, shops and galleries are within a few minutes' walk. There is a small (12-car) municipal parking lot next to our building for long- or short-term parking at no cost
You can drive to Eastport, or you can arrive by boat or small plane. We have no public transportation, but you can take a Continental Trailways bus or a commercial flight to Bangor and rent a car for the 125-mile trip to Eastport.
Our quoted prices do not include Maine state sales tax of 9%. We ask that guests pay this additional amount when they arrive.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 24 heures avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement intégral, frais de service compris.

We are three women who purchased and renovated an historic 1887 building on Eastport's waterfront in 2003. On the second floor are two fully-furnished, upscale-casual rental condos overlooking the mighty tides of Passamaquoddy Bay between Maine and New Brunswick. We have been managing The Commons (two second-floor rentals, and the gallery of local art and artisan work on the first floor) since May 2004. We're open year-round, and the building is so well insulated that you'll be perfectly comfortable even on the coldest winter days. We have varied backgrounds in education, fiber arts, music and community development, and are firmly convinced that Eastport's thriving cultural community has something for everyone, all year long. Let us show you what makes Eastport, and The Commons, a very special place.
