Historic neighborhood with individually designed houses just outside the city of North East Washington DC. Downtown DC easily to access with bus and metro. Comfortable double bed, Share bathroom with one other person. Our livingroom has a nice dining area. The kitchen that has access to our large garden. OK to use kitchen. Two friendly cats also live in the house.. Sheets, bedding and towels provided as well as storage space in the kitchen. Free highspeed WIFI.
Brentwood is part of the historic port-towns town alongside the Anacostia river and a diverse neighborhood. Wonderful artist community with galleries, theater, shops and cafes and farmers market in walking distance.
Excellent public transportation to the city center of Washington DC. We are connected to the Rhode Island meto station by bus ( 2-5 minutes walking distance from our house and then 10 minutes to the metro station).
Although our address is in Maryland, we are quite close to the main attractions in downtown Washington DC (due to the diamond shape of DC as you can see when you (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) the map of DC).
A bike path along the Anacostia river is 5 Minutes from the house and now in spring and summer kayak and otehr boat rental is offered at he Bladensburg historic harbor at the Anacostia river, 5 minutes per bike.

We are not in walking distance to the Capitol or the White House.
However: you will love this place, when you look for a friendly home and neighborhood, a quiet place after your adventures in the city and you want a combination of being close to the big city and enjoy nature.

1. There is no smoking in the house or outside on the decks.
2.We require a cash deposit of $50 for the key. The deposit will be returned to you when you return the key. You have agreed not to copy the key for any reason.
3.When you arrive, we will photocopy your driver's license or other government picture ID.
4. You might share the bathroom adjacent to your room if another guest books the second room. We all keep it tidy and .
5.You are welcome to use the kitchen facilities and we will make space in a cupboard and in the fridge for your foodstuffs. There is separate flatware and dishes for meat and dairy food. Drawers are marked and we will show you. No pork or anything with pork in it is allowed in the house. Clean up after yourself in the kitchen.
6. You are welcome to enjoy our garden!
7.There is no TV, just Wi-Fi.
8. If you break or damage anything, please have the courtesy to let us know. We have to decide how it should be paid for, fixed or replaced.
