À propos de ce logement
Enjoy this charming and quirky 2 bedroom apartment in an old farm house on the outskirts of Suttons Bay village. This home is nestled in a lovely setting on a one acre lot with a creek running through the front yard. It’s convenient to everything: beaches, hiking trails, bike/ski trail, art galleries, a variety of dining, brew pub, wine tasting, ice cream, local movie theatre, tennis courts, playgrounds, boating, etc. The Leelanau TART Trail is around the corner and Hermann Park with 4 new tennis courts is across the street. The apartment is part of a duplex and features plenty of space with a kitchen, dining room, living room, porch, two bedrooms, and 1.5 baths. Cottage style furnishings make this home comfortable and cozy for you to enjoy your stay in Northern Michigan.
Our apartment sleeps 5 people comfortably with 2 bedrooms featuring queen size beds, one up a narrow set of stairs and one downstairs. There is also a single bed on its box spring in the upstairs landing or nook area, which can be a nice option for a school age child. In addition, there is a futon couch on the porch though this is not a heated space.
The kitchen is stocked with plenty of cookware, dishes, coffee maker, 3 burner stove/oven, microwave and small sized refrigerator. You’ll fine some tea and spices in the cupboard making it comfortable to eat in if you’re not going out.
The living room, dining room and porch all have comfy seating options and we have a number of games, puzzles, books and a small dvd collection for rainy days or just hanging out. Linens and towels are provided but you’ll want to bring your own beach towels.
Parking is about 30 yards from the house, between the creek and the house.
Our home is part of a duplex. Your space will be the main part of the house; an efficiency apartment is on the backside of the house. The house is also in a neighborhood with homes on either side, but the home is set back from the road and you’ll find plenty of shaded space in the front yard. We are on the edge of the village so both biking and walking are feasible for access to shopping, dining, beaches, parks. Expect to walk several blocks to get to the heart of the village. There is a woodland path to the TART trail, which makes for a nice walk to the village. Traverse City is about a 20 minute drive and Leland is about a 10 minute drive. Both the Sleeping Bear Dunes and the tip of Northport are also easily accessible for an afternoon of fun.
Please enjoy this space as you would your own home. You're welcome to use whatever is here. Please know that we have worked to create a comfortable and charming space - the art, the furnishings and the house itself are important to us. No smoking. No pets.
