Within walking distance of the city of Sydney, Darling Harbour, Central & Paddys Markets, Sydney Casino and also light rail (tram) stop only one minute away if you'd rather not walk. Also only four minutes walk away from the famous Sydney Fish Markets; so if you like seafood, you'll love it. Many great pubs, cafes and restaurants also within a stone's throw.
Many shops also within walking distance include supermarkets and the modern Broadway Shopping "Mall" where there are cinemas, fashion and variety stores; Sephora, H&M; and a great food court with Grill'd Burgers, Guzman et Gomez Mexican, Zeuss Greek Food, Indian, Korean, Vietnamese food and Chinese dumplings, Sushi and nearby to Salts Meat Cheese and The Burger Project. Pyrmont is a great location for pubs and restaurants also. Walk down to the water at end of Harris Street to find a beautiful, but uncrowded, waterfront vista.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas cooking stove, microwave, fridge and dishwasher. Separate laundry in the apartment with washing machine and clothes dryer, as well as clothes-drying stand in your room if you want it. Room for one or two people only, no extra people allowed. Smoking on balcony allowed, but not in apartment.
Apartment is relatively modern, but not "brand-new".
Note: There is no parking available, our building car spaces are full and street parking in the area is minimal and not really an option. On weekends I can accommodate one small-medium sized car in underground car park, but not on weekdays.
24-hour access with your own security building pass and your own keys to the apartment. Own large bedroom; share kitchen, laundry, dining room & living area with myself and a young French couple. Share bathroom with the couple.
I will be around some of the time if you wish to find out about things to do but will totally leave you alone to "do your own thing".
Pyrmont is a vibrant, fairly recently populated part of Sydney and just a 15-minute-walk to the city (CBD). The area is dotted with restored heritage buildings mixed with modern apartments and town houses. Historically when Pyrmont was settled by the English it was originally a working dockyard for the early wool trade, over 100 years ago, and only about 20 or so years ago did developers realise its potential for residential buildings with water views all around and close proximity to the city. Great water views of Blackwattle Bay and the ANZAC Bridge. Many restaurants, cafes, cool bars and pubs nearby. We are about 3 minutes walk from famous Sydney Fish Markets, which also has a fantastic deli and fruit & vegetable grocer. Also IGA supermarket about 5 mins walk. If you prefer not to walk there is the light rail (tram) which goes to Central Station as well as Casino and Darling Harbour. Pyrmont's next door suburb is Glebe, which has a multitude of amazing restaurants, bars and cafes, every price and cuisine imaginable, as well as trendy vintage markets on Saturday, especially good for fashion.
Light Rail (tram) station is right behind our building, stop is called Wentworth Park. Tram goes to Central station in one direction, stopping at the Sydney Casino, Harbourside Darling Harbour and Paddys Markets on the way. There is also a large network of buses.
