Description

80% of London's most visited attractions are an easy 3-20 min walk!!!

A much-loved, historic (200yr old), family house. Period features combined with a luxury modern kitchen, marble bathrooms and a large, beautiful, walled garden. In a protected, very quiet and peaceful conservation area.

The house was built in 1825 and is protected by English Heritage. Despite being right at the centre of central London it's tucked away in a very quiet residential, conservation area with restricted traffic access and it's own south-facing garden.
The kitchen and bathrooms were recently extended and modernised to the highest standards. The house has the best of old and new, historic and modern. A peaceful, relaxing place to be right up close to the excitement of all London has to offer. When you wake up in the morning you'll be able to hear birds tweeting and we have blackbirds and tits in the garden (we even get the occasional visit from our local sparrow hawk!)
The majority of London's popular attractions are within a short walk (see below). Food shopping is available from more than five supermarkets within 3-4 minutes walk, one being open for 24hrs.

The house and garden is rented out as a whole, although there is no access to the basement rooms which will be locked and unoccupied.
There is residents parking outside the house and permits can be provided for £5 a day.

We will meet guests on arrival to help them settle in, answer and questions and provide more details about the area and what's currently going on. There's usually a lot of events going on within 5 minutes walk and we provide as many up-to-date guides as we can. There's a London guided tour and a Dr Who tour which pauses outside our front door.

We live in a conservation area which is protected by English Heritage and has restricted traffic access. The garden door opens onto a paved area where the kids play football and tennis. You can hear Big Ben chiming the hours from the back garden and see the London Eye from the front (It's good fun to take a trip on the eye and try to spot the house when you're up the top!)

Within 5 minutes walk - The Southbank, The Thames, National Theatre, Royal Festival Hall, Old Vic Theatre, Young Vic Theatre, British Film Institute, The Imax, and much more.

Within 10 minutes walk - Tate Modern Art Gallery, Vans Skateboarding Centre, Lower Marsh Market, Archbishops Park, and much more.

Within 20 minutes walk - The Houses of Parliament, Westminster Bridge, London Eye, London's Theatre District, Shakespeares Globe Theatre, Covent Garden, The Royal Opera House, The English National Opera, Borough Market, Trafalgar Square, Charing Cross Station, Blackfriers Station and much more.

Within 30 minutes walk - Buckingham Place, Regents Park, St James Park, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Whitehall, Downing Street, Soho, Leceister Square, and much more.

We are less than five minutes from Waterloo and Waterloo East Stations which as well as overground services to many destinations around the country including Wimbledon (tennis), Hampton Court Palace and Kew Gardens also has underground services - Jubilee Line, Northern Line and Bakerloo Lines. We also have a whole load of buses running close by and serving much of London.
Really good fun is catching one of the Thames Clipper Boats that run from the Southbank (5 mins) and cruise to Greenwich, Kew Gardens and Hampton Court.

Our road and house is popular with for filming and tv series (have a look at the photo section). If you're lucky you may be around when some filming is going on, but we'd let you know about that in advance.

Merci Simon !
