My name is Michelle Large. My passion for the ocean started at a young age at the Jersey shore on family vacations. It took a great leap when I moved to California when I was 20 years old and immediately started surfing. A few years later, I decided to travel to Costa Rica on a solo surf trip and that was the beginning of a new chapter of my life. I stayed in the Peninsula de Osa for 5 years full time during the late 90's before moving back to the states to finish my studies. My passions include surfing, traveling, yoga, cooking, SUP, painting, fishing and gardening. I speak both english and spanish. I divide my time between California and Costa Rica. I love to travel to new places and meet new people. I used to be more of a rustic traveler, but that has refined with age. In my opinion, traveling is anywhere that is new and interesting. It does not necessarily have to be going to the other end of the earth...although I like that too.
