A well presented, tastefully furnished double room, offering scenic water views.

You will receive a welcome guide that provides comprehensive information about the apartment, safety and recommendations on things to do. I also have leaflets for different museums and amenities.

You also will have your own private bathroom with electric shower and bath (separate to the room).

Apartment has wifi, cable TV, a piano, a selection of books and a kitchen that you are welcome to use. It also has a balcony overlooking the water offering very nice views. There is also rooftop garden access, which you can access if it's open (just ask me for the code to the building).

Please note that I am unable to offer parking with this listing, however there is a carpark nearby which quotes approximately €5 a day.

The great thing about this apartment is that it is in the centre of the activity but because it looks over the water, we don't get the noise :)

I will provide you with a set of keys when you arrive and the building code and directions from the airport before you arrive.

I will either check you in myself or alternatively I will arrange for a key collection point. Regular check in time is from 3pm. Please check with me first if you are arriving earlier as I may be able to accept an earlier check in, however as I may have guests checking out that morning, this is not always the case.

You will be sharing the apartment with me. I'm working during the day on weekdays and in the evenings I might be at home or perhaps out and about at the gym or meeting friends.

I'm from Dublin and Ireland so I am happy to share with you any tips and recommendations about your visit, whether it's for business or pleasure. Please note I may not be home during your stay but I'll be always be reachable by email and phone.

You are staying right in the heart of Grand Canal Dock, in the middle of the action! The city centre is a 25 minute walk away however there is plenty to do in the area of you want to stay local.

Surrounding you, there are restaurants, cafes, pubs, the sea, the park, gyms, tech companies, the theatre, supermarkets, and even water sports!

EuroSpar on Barrow Street - closest and stocks all the essentials.
Fresh Supermarket in Grand Canal Square - slightly more upmarket and more expensive than the other two, nice wine selection.
Tesco Express in Ringsend Village.

My apartment is a 25 min walk from the city centre (there is a bus outside the front gate). It is close to shops, tech companies, the financial district, restaurants, cafes/bars. It's also easy to get around with the luas, bus, taxi rank, train station and bike station nearby.

From Airport:
I will send you full details of transport options from the airport if you decide to book with me but it is very straightforward to get to my place from Dublin airport. You can take a bus which will take you to a street that is a 9 minute walk from my apartment. Alternatively, a taxi would cost approx €30. The airport is a 20-40minute drive from my apartment and the city centre depending on traffic/ time of day.

To City Centre:
If you don't fancy the 25 minute walk into the city centre from my apartment, you could take the bus on the street ((PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN)a) which will drop you off in the city centre. Taxis are easy to flag down or get at the rank from the nearby Marker hotel. The trams are a 20 mins' walk and the train station is 5 mins' away, which can take you to the city centre or to North Dublin (Malahide, Howth) or South Dublin (Killiney, Dun Laoighre).

For getting around Dublin there is a visitors' 3 day LEAP card. This is a card which will allow you to use bus, train and tram while you are here. It will cost €19.50 per person and you can purchase it from the Spar shop a 5 minute walk from my apartment. If you like to cycle, you could also use a Dublin bike to get around. There is a 3 day ticket option with this also (please note you will need a credit card with pin to activate).

If you are interested in staying in my home, please tell me a little bit about yourself and let me know if you are unsure of any details.

This is ideal for business travel if you work in one of the tech firms in Grand Canal Dock as your commute will be less than ten mins in the morning. I am also near the Aviva and the National Conference Centre and the RDS.

I work in tech and love travel, meeting people from around the world and hearing their stories. I lived in different countries (Italy, Australia and Canada) and have taken time out to travel areas extensively (Europe by train and South East Asia). Now that I have a full time job, it is not possible to travel as much as I would like to, but at least with hosting and meeting different people worldwide, it is a happy medium :)
