★Frequently asked Questions
“How do I go to ****? What is the fastest way?”
→The website “Hyperdia” is very useful ! as you can check departure and arrival time, fastest route, train lines and fares!
“How do I find a restaurant? “
→ We send you a recommendation list. But there is another site that we use in English, Chinese and Korean.
“ My wifi doesn’t seem to be working. What’s wrong? “
→ Sometimes it doesn’t receive good signal when you are inside. Try it at window side and turn it off and on.
In order to enhance our compliance of law and regulation in Japan we must collect 8% JCT (Japanese Consumption Tax). If you live in Japan then this tax may be collected by Airbnb by itself at some point, but currently this feature is not yet activated (as of March 19, 2017). If this feature is activated then Japanese residents who paid the tax will not be charged. Non-Japan residents must pay separately. You will be assessed the tax after you complete your booking and need to make a separate payment via the Airbnb settlements system.
We bow our heads in appreciation that you can help us comply with the ever-stricter regulations and laws in Japan. Your cooperation will send off a chorus of hymns in the heavens and bells will ring along the gates of the riverfront shrines and temples. Fifty Shinto priests will light incense, cut tree saplings, and perform readings in ancient Buddhist scripts to rejoice in your name and welcome you into the land of the Rising Sun.

Hailing from Los Angeles, CA (USA) I have been living in Japan for over five years. I recently moved back to Tokyo from Osaka, where I still have properties on Airbnb.
I want to help share information about Japan to the outside world. It's a fantastic magical place that once explored once will only grow on you as you keep coming back for more and more. Or, you may end up like me and fall in love with Japan so much that you end up moving here.
Either way I can help you explore Japan, or give you strategies if you want to live here you can enjoy it.
And know that I am here to answer any of your questions! :)
