Our lovely, secluded cottages are nestled on a hillside among birch trees with grand view of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Mountains and their glaciers.
We are located only three miles from Homer, 6 miles from the Spit.

Le logement

The cottages have sunny porches, are surrounded by delightful gardens, walkways and trails. Two of the cottages are in front of the house, one is attached to the main house; all have their own entrances, bathrooms and queen-sized beds. The rooms are decorated with furniture designed and crafted by the owners, stocked with a wide selection of Alaskan literature, a collection of Alaskan fossils plus other natural-found objects.
Guests share a delicious breakfast with warm and friendly company and conversation in the main house. We serve freshly ground coffee, garden fresh peppermint tea, homemade sourdough breads, berry jams, smoked salmon, waffles with local blueberries, fresh fruit salads, omelet with homegrown eggs and fresh chives, "Rösti"(Swiss hash browns) and Swiss Müesli. Special requests honored with advance notice.
We have 3 rooms to rent, total guests then would be 9.

We welcome children, and offer several acres of outdoor space to explore and to visit with our outdoor cat, chickens and turkeys. Often moose wander by.

Your hosts are Brigitte, born in Germany, and her husband Willie, originally Swiss. They've lived in Alaska for quite a while and built this home from scratch. Both love to create furniture, gardens, food and smiles. Brigitte's garden was featured in Sunset Magazine and the B&B won a beautification award.

Amazingly magical place tucked into mountainside. Unique, creative, quiet, lovely. Beautiful views of glaciers and mountains on clear days.

An excerpt from my Travelogue at (URL HIDDEN) - Sunday morning at 8:00 am we were sitting at a rustic table at Brigette’s B & B. There were eight of us – Jim and me who had just finished our Inside Passage cruise; a couple from Switzerland who were visiting Willie & Brigitte; and a family of four from Philadelphia area who were there for their brother’s wedding. Brigitte and Willie were busy in the kitchen making us a country breakfast including fresh fruit from their garden (including white currants, strawberries, raspberries, apples and bananas) along with blueberry waffles with fresh strawberry pureé and whipped cream – coffee and orange juice. Brigitte’s garden overlooks her beautiful hillside garden and across Katchemak Bay to the Kenai Mountains. After breakfast, I went and grabbed my camera and began taking pictures in the garden. There was a path leading down from the main house. Everywhere I looked there was another flower and more color. Amongst everything were tiny, blue Forget-me-Not’s covering the flower beds like a ground cover. The flower beds were each terraced on the hillside. They were built up with rocks and stones. Amongst all of the flowers were vegetables too. The yard is fenced off to keep the moose and the deer out. If the fence was not there, they would not have a garden – but instead there would be some very happy animals lingering around for their next meal.

Brigette and Willie are the most charming hosts and their style and flair make their place extra special. Come prepared to explore Brigette's amazing garden and Willie's stories and sense of humor. The place is comfortable with nice bedding and towels. Breakfast is early because there are places to go and things to see in Homer. If you are a couple traveling and one is a reader and one a sleeper you should bring your book lite as the lighting does at lend itself to the comfort of both sleeper and late night reader. This place is magical and you should expect to be enchanted

Wonderful hosts on a beautiful property. Freshly made breakfasts (easily accommodating a vegetarian), lush gardens, chickens and turkeys are just the beginning...highly recommended!

This place is superb and even better than the pictures! I took my mother there for a night to see a little of homer and to get some R&R and was blown away. They are the sweetest, most accommodating hosts, there were flowers everywhere, seemingly everything on the property is unique and hand crafted; the room was cozy, large, comfortable, clean, and had a great view. For breakfast they went above and beyond serving an organic, large, handmade, super healthy meal which included several fresh made breads. One of the most unique and breathtaking properties I've been on. They obviously have an intense eye for detail which also applies to their customer service/satisfaction. I really can't say enough good things about my experience there. Thank you guys for taking us in and being so easy to work with when there was some confusion about our booking. Hopefully we'll be back soon!
