Oscars home was very comfy, clean, and central to everything. Communication and directions were on point. Highly recommend staying here

A great location, but you can hear traffic noise early in the morning - anyone used to a quiet place should get ear plugs. Be sure to get the check in instructions ahead of time to avoid any delays in getting in. Messaging through the AirBnB website worked a treat with Oscar and seemed to be the prefered method of communication. Great beds, we thought they were so comfortable and clean. Couldn't say if the TV worked as we only tried for a couple of minutes before giving up. Still that's not why we visited San Antonio. Take time to have a cup of coffee (or something stronger) on the porch and relax. As a base to visit the area, have fun and not get charged a lot in Uber fees this is the place.

Pick two; proximity, cost, luxury. I picked proximity and lowest cost, and I got it. . Easy enough to find and get code for keys, good proximity to what we needed it for. That said, it's a little rougher than expected, but then again the pictures were really only worth a few words. The remodel is definitely a DIY. I've been in amazing DIYs and this is not one of them, but it works for what it is Needs updated and clear pictures. Show the kitchen. I'm a carpenter type guy that remodels his own houses, so I notice everything. I don't have a clue about Texas building codes, but if I have ever stayed in a place that might burn down, this is it. The stove was powered by extension cord running under the sink cabinet(which you shouldn't open unless you've gotten your tetanus shot recently). The only other plug for all the kitchen appliances was behind the mobile microwave cart. On to the bathroom. There was one shelf, falling off the wall, but a linen closet on the other. The shower was rigged to come directly out of the ceiling(actually nice unless you want to move the shower head) but the tub DID NOT DRAIN AT ALL! This is a problem, and it should be fixed immediately. If you are staying by yourself, it might not be a problem unless you're hot and want two showers a day, it may not drain for several hours. The WIFI was weak, I didn't use it it was slower than my phone. There was a TV, but no cable or antenna, (or any other media player) so why have a TV? No ottoman, or coffee table, (one of these was pictured) or side table to go with the couch. Overall, it was cheap, the location was good for us with a car and for the things we needed to do, otherwise it was not good. There are better maintained houses that might be more expensive, and have a walkable location. Not entirely sure how there was a four star rating? Maybe older reviews?

Great place at a great price...a little noisy due to a near by hospital but otherwise, awesome!!!

Great value! We stayed here for 5 wks while transitioning to San Antonio. It's close to downtown, Pearl, and Tobin Hill. Pros: Oscar was an amazing host and very helpful, near by dog park, kids park, easy assess to I-35, a large tv, and a great overhead rain shower w/ lots of hot water. The library is a quick drive with a free beautiful public pool/park. Cons: The hospital is in eyesight and the ambulances are 24/7. I recommend ear plugs and ambient noise to help. The kitchen lacks counter space. We had a great stay and would recommend it to others.

My friends and I stayed in Oscar's place for a weekend recently. It was comfortable and nice! Old, creaky house but I liked it. It reminded me of the old homes in my hometown. It did lack counterspace in the kitchen and privacy curtains in the living room. The street noise was extremely noticeable but for me (I was the one bunking on the couch) it didn't bother me. I always like background noise. The couch and beds are SUPER comfortable. My friends and I were so obsessed with the shower and fluffy towels. The only table is a patio table on the front deck but we didn't use it since we ate while sitting on the floor in the living room and watched a movie. There is a large flat screen tv but no DVD player but that wasn't an issue. My friend brought hers and it was an easy hook up. Oscar responded quickly whenever I messaged him. Overall we had a fabulous time. I personally liked the house and it's unique quirkiness.

Family, Animals, Nature, Technology, Psychology, Realestate, Art, Music and Traveling are some of my biggest passions. I have travelled to many places in this world and the things I appreciate most of where I stay are convenience, privacy, proximity, safety, facilities and comfort. This are the things we want to promote to the people we host and hold as key ingredients to the result of a pleasant stay. People should feel like they can propel themselves to their new adventure or retreat from the exhaustion of a challenge overcome when they come stay at our place.
