This house is perfectly located for travelling around the area. Particularly good for those who love doing outdoor stuff: cycling (this is where Tour de France cyclists train), kayaking, horse-riding, tennis, go-karting, swimming and much more! What makes this house unique is the space. All rooms are a good size. It's cool in the summer and can be easily warmed in the winter.
The whole house has around 155m2 of living space. You enter through a large hall, which leads to a spacious open plan living area. Firstly, you have the sitting room area. Here there are a few books and DVDs, plus a TV and DVD player.
The dining area has a table that sits 8, but could seat more, as it extends. The kitchen is modern with a wooden work top, 90cm hob with 2 ovens, washing machine and large fridge/freezer. Everyday glasses, wine glasses and mugs are within easy reach on the shelves and there's a set of 20 plates, side plates and bowls for your use too. Most importantly we've provided sharp knives (one of my major bug bears is not having the right utensils when I'm cooking!).
From the hallway, you go up the original narrow, curved wooden staircase. All the flooring upstairs are the original, wide beamed wooden floorboards. Lovingly scrubbed and varnished by ourselves! To the right of the landing is the master bedroom, which leads onto the balcony. The balcony comfortably takes a table with 2 chairs. Directly ahead of the top of the staircase is the separate toilet and large family bathroom. The bathroom includes a roll top bath with shower head, double sink and a 120cm shower, with rain shower head and a normal one. It's pure luxury in here.
There are two other bedrooms off the landing, a twin bedroom and another large double bedroom. All bedrooms have sunlight streaming into them at different times of the day. The size of all these bedrooms are great, no-one will feel that they have the 'smaller' or not so nice room, as they're all as nice as each other. From the landing you can then go up a second curved flight of stairs to the unique 43m2 loft room.
Top floor provides a double bedroom under original beams, with an en-suite shower room and toilet, plus an extremely spacious sitting area with double sofa bed, with TV.
Accès des voyageurs
The whole house is accessible. Just to be clear, there is no outdoor space for this house, except the balcony.

I live in London, so I will not be available upon arrival. However, I do have a local French woman, Emmanuelle, who will provide the keys and introduce you to the house (she also does the cleaning for me). I will send out supportive documents prior to your stay, to assist with your journey, places to go, and restaurants to try out. As long as I'm not on holiday during your stay, I will be available to take calls, should you have any problems.
For those of you who have been watching my site you'll note that I've recently increased the pricing, this is due to the fact that I have now finished furnishing the house. The twin room now has 2 single beds (only 1 before) and there are chest of drawers or wardrobes provided in each bedroom (which I didn't have before). Not all rooms have wardrobes, but they do have hooks where you can use clothes hangers to hang shirts and dresses.
When there are storms, they can be big! So, it's important that shutters are always secured (either open or shut) - otherwise they could easily blow off their hinges.
Winter time: We provide electric heaters in each room. They are very efficient at quickly heating a room up, so the house is easily heated in the Winter. However, electricity is very expensive in France, so we request that you only heat the rooms that you are in i.e. when you spend the evening eating at the dining table, or socialising in the sitting room, just heat this open space. Only heat the bedrooms just before you go to bed (and then turn off the heating downstairs).
Please treat the house as if it was your own i.e. please look after it!
There's a 'no smoking' policy and we'd prefer no pets (unless you're sure they won't scratch the furniture and rugs!).

I'm a busy Mum of two! Love to eat good food. Not the greatest cook, but try my best to produce lots of varied meals. A favourite evening out would start with simple but tasty food, in a gastro-pub type place, with several close friends around me. Something that I can easily get, close to where I live. Very into keeping fit, so have done many runs round my local common, on my own and with my daughter. Part-time chauffeur for my son who is heavily into his tennis.
