This large 500 sq. ft. downstairs bedroom & living room can be yours to shelter, comfort & love you while in the area. It comes with warmth, cleanliness, two married people and a movie projection screen with Netflix. 15 Minutes from Cannery Row & The Monterey Bay Aquarium. You have your own bathroom (upstairs) that is clean with a large shower good water pressure, soap and shampoo.
Welcome to our home that we love and live in. It's a simple, clean (small) bedroom and (large) living room, all your own, that is downstairs (we live upstairs) you can feel comfortable in while you are visiting the Monterey Peninsula. Our names are Cat & Christian and you are welcome to be our guests.
This home is lovely, quiet and very cozy. Our neighbors are nice people. You have access to your own bathroom and our kitchen upstairs via the inside stairs you walk up to get to. (There isn't a door that separates the downstairs & upstairs). You have your own back patio area that's just a big sandbox, as it's a work in progress, though there's is a fire pit outback that will come with wood & and privacy.
There's coffee (or tea) you can brew when you get up via a manual drip coffee maker, a nice clean fridge that you can use (we'll usually have a shelf that's your own with Eggs, Yogurt, English Muffins.) You can certainly drive the 5 minutes down the street to Safeway (in Seaside) and purchase, cook and enjoy food (if we're cooking dinner, you'll have to cook & converse with us.)
Your upstairs bathroom is very clean, has fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer and q-tips. There is a washer and dryer should you need to wash anything (in the garage). The carpet in your living area is clean.
Your small bedroom has two doors that will block out all light. The bed is a smaller full/queen and comfy. It has a down comforter with a cover that we wash every time for new guests. Has an alarm clock and a phone charger.
You can watch movies with a nice sound system on a projector screen in your living room. You can plug in your iPhone and listen to your music. The house has wifi. Please keep the volume at reasonable level. If it's too loud, we'll just let you know it is.
There is a wicker picnic basket you can pack with wine, cheese and grapes, or whichever you purchase, and go to the park down the street, or the beach 10 minutes away, or the woods 30 minutes away (comes with plates, napkins & dosposa-ware)
You can pull your car into your own tiny driveway, which is to the left of the front lawn (with the tiny pebbles) or in the street in front of our house.
This house is 5 minutes from route 1, 20 minutes from Carmel (depending on traffic), 45 minutes from Big Sur, and 20 minutes from Carmel Valley. Cannery Row & The Monterey Bay Aquarium is 15 minutes away. There is a bus route very close walking distance.
***Please note: We are AirBnB'ing our home that we live in together (we just got married in 2016) to provide a nice place for people, that being said, we do the best we can yet can improve. Therefore, guests are encouraged to provide constructive criticism to us so we can improve the next guest's stay. We welcome it & want to treat everyone with deserved respect.***

Of course we're here to help guide you in the time you are staying on the Monterey Peninsula. We've lived here for many, many years and can recommend fantastic restaurants, places to hike and all the touristy things people do when they come here (Fisherman's Wharf, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, hiking, kayaking, biking, Big Sur, Etc.). That being said, we (Cat & Christian) are busy people- Cat is a Certified Financial Planner and Christian is an Executive Director & Founder of a local nonprofit (Loaves, Fishes & Computers). We will help you as much as we are able to, mostly in the early AM or evening if we can. Sometimes we work from home in our home office FYI. We understand that guests want their privacy and sometimes want to be left alone, which we can certainly respect. We will most likely cross paths in the upstairs area with a nice hello & good morning/good night.
If you're cold, let us know and we'll turn up the heat.
Of course this is our home, so we don't need to mention how to behave. We just expect a reciprocal amount of respect for each others' belongings, and for each other as human beings.
Oh yes, two small requests: please be so kind to take off your shoes when going downstairs and please squeegee the glass shower doors after showering. (Thank you).
We're pretty laid back, Cat & Myself. We love cycling, eating, each other, computers, bluegrass and country music. We're proud to call Monterey Peninsula home. We've lived in this area over a decade- I, Christian hail from NH and am the founder and executive director of a local non-sectarian non-profit called Loaves, Fishes & Computers. I've have worked in hospitality for many years. Cat is a Certified Financial Planner and is a wonderful human being. We shall do our best to make you feel welcome. You have a couple local friends to help and guide you, should you want that. Thank you, Cat & Christian.
