A great stay! The place is even nicer than what the pictures show. The kids loved it: the small sand beach is literally in front of the house and a pastry shop with good ice cream (we recommend the Yoghurt) 50 m down the beach walk.
The communication with the representative of the house owner was quick and easy. She enquired our arrival time to ensure a pick-up service so that we would not have to carry the luggage from the ferry (for a small extra fee) and pointed out an error on the ferry time table that I had used. During our stay we were contacted several times to ensure we had everything we needed. A cleaning lady was sent to clean the terrace – as the grapes were ripe the started dropping on the floor.
The house itself provided a nice small living room with an in-built kitchen including ceran cooktop, electric oven, washing machine, and a big fridge with freezer. Dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots and cooking tools were sufficiently provided. The bathroom is not very spacious but has a nice shower. The temperature of the water was not stable but at temperatures around 30 degrees C it did not bother us.
The two bedrooms provided ample room for a family of five including our baby cot. The mosquito nets proved were very useful as there were lots of mosquitoes. After we extended the the suspension of the mosquito nets to make them fit (otherwise they would only have been decoration) they served their purpose very well. There were also some electric mosquito repellents that distribute ingredients in the air to kill, which proved to be necessary. (I would recommend to bring some repellent.)
Vine tendrils are hanging over the terrace attracting lots of butterflies and wasps and offers a dining table and two sunbeds but we always preferred to use the table in front of the front door on the sea promenade for all our meals.
The beach in front of the house provided all what the children asked for but we also took advantage of the proximity of the splendid beach of Sunj on the other side of the island, which is about 25 min walk from the house. The sunset can be viewed either from one of the restaurants further down the port (I recommend Obala) or at a view point at the west tip of the island, about 15 min walk from the house.
A wholehearted recommendation.
