Our Cabin is a refurbished barn that has been in our family since early 1900's. My husband Keith turned it into what is now a lovely Adirondack Cabin overlooking beautiful Lake Algonquin. Gas fireplace, full kitchen, kayaks, 4 beds and great views!
This is a lovely, newly refurbished barn in a Adirondack setting. Exterior has just been stained and landscaping in progress. A fire pit is being added along with a new deck to enjoy the lake and mountains.
Gorgeous lake views out front, swim, kayak, hike and stargaze or simply relax here. 2 kayaks, indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit provided. The 3.5 miles around the lake is the perfect daily walk or run.
Cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with one double bed. The upstairs open loft has 2 single beds (total of 4 beds) the loft is narrow, preferably for shorter people and perfect for children. Also, not a lot of headroom at the top of stairwell, so we always tell guests to watch yourselves..

I have lived in Wells now for 45 years, My Husband Keith was born and raised here and we raised our two children here. We have five grandchildren. I am retired from Wells Central School and Keith is a building contractor. Wells has been a blessing to us as it is quiet and has the beauty of the mountains and lake. We enjoy the lake as it is convenient to walk across the road from the house which is next to our cabin we rent. We have the luxery of kayaking, canoeing, long walks around the lake , going to the beach and enjoying all out door sports. We do have to travel about 30 minutes to Gloversville which has the stores, but its no bother to return back home to the peace and beauty of Wells.
