Welcome to our cottage and thank you for booking your holiday with us. We will do our best to make your holiday as relaxed and comfortable as possible.
Please read the terms and conditions below and ask all members of your party to fill in their details and return to us before your holiday commences with the remaining balance, or bring with you on your arrival.
Terms and Conditions
•We require 50% payment up front to reserve your holiday. This is non refundable.
•The remaining payment can be paid on arrival or no later than 1 week before your holiday commences together with this form signed.
•There is Tourist tax of 0.6 euros per person per night on top of our prices.
•Check in can be made between 4.30pm – 7.00pm. (If you are going to be arriving outside of these times please let us know beforehand). If possible please let us know when you will be approximately arriving. (it may be possible to arrive before this time but we need to know beforehand.)
•Check out time is before 10.00am on Saturday.
•A cash deposit of 200€ is required on arrival, this will be returned to you on departure once the gite has been checked.
- This deposit covers damage and misuse, we understand accidents happen but expect a level of care to be taken. All breakages must be paid for.
- Please let us know if something gets broken or damaged so we can replace it for future guests.
•Please leave the house clean and tidy to the same high standard that it is presented to you in.
•Please leave any dirty towels in the white laundry basket in the bathroom at the end of your stay and please leave bed linen on the bed.
•Gite towels are for use in the gite only and should not be taken off the premises.
•We have a septic tank here. Please only place sanitary items in the bin next to the toilet and only toilet tissue and natural waste is to be flushed.
•There are rubbish bins and recycling bins as you enter Valon on the left hand side. Please deposit all rubbish there.
•Any empty jam jars please wash out, as we can re-use these. They can be left in the kitchen.
•Glass bottles can be recycled in Lacroix Barrez, Mur de Barrez or Entraygue, not in the bins in Valon. Should you not find time or travel through theses places, then leave in a bag and we will recycle them for you.
•We try and provide an environmentally friendly holiday experience and keep the impact of your holiday on the earth to a minimum, please help us reduce your carbon footprint.
•Hot water is provided by the solar panels in the garden. Please be sensible with water consumption.
•Please do not leave lights on when not necessary and turn down heating when not in the gite.
•Close all windows and doors when out, as during hot weather it will keep your rooms cooler.
•Please use all window and door latches to hold open, as strong breezes could slam them shut and break the glass.
•The garden is terraced but uneven in places, we are currently landscaping it. Feel free to explore but take care and watch young children.
•Any purchases made from our shop should be signed for at that time and then at the end of your stay we will deduct the total from your deposit and give you back the remaining balance.
•Please no smoking in the gite and do not throw used cigarettes in the garden.

Hello, my name is Chris, i have been living in Valon, Lacroix Barrez, Aveyron for the past 6 years. I am originally from England but moved to France for a change of lifestyle.
After working as a Product Designer in London for 12 years I now run my gite and renovate properties in the winter months. I also make furniture, paintings, photographs and sculptures which I exhibit in Toulouse.
