There is even a 'wigwam/fort' on the property where guests who would like to release there inner child and add to the project are warmly encouraged to :)

Bring a tent or tie a hammock and take it all in while the breeze rocks you to sleep.

The property is located close enough to a small town to easily refill on supplies or ice or even hit a local restaurant if you forgot to bring food lol

Stay for one night, or as many as you like.
Rates are $10 per week day/ $20 for Friday or Saturday night/ $75 per week

Guests are required to remove all trash before check out.
Please ask any questions before reserving your stay.
Payment and $50 trash removal deposit due in advance. ( $50 deposit refunded after property has been checked to make sure it was left in the proper condition :)

Thank you for your considerate and I look forward to hearing about your adventure!!!

A winding paved road takes you down to the edge of the property where you will then enter the woods on foot and walk the rugged natural path down slopes and over springs to the 'heart' of the property which is a less dense area near the creek and beside the flowing natural spring.

I will be constantly available by text If you have any questions about the local town, what it has to offer, directions to the larger surrounding major cities, or anything else you can think of that I can assist with. :)

The neighbors are few and far between...this is a fairly secluded area considering the close proximity to town.

Parking is 'off road' in the grass between the paved entrance road and the woods of the camping area. Several cars can easily fit there. No public transportation is available unless you arrange with uber etc on your own. You can also bring a canoe or kayak and travel the creek.

This is a PRIMITIVE. Camping experience...the nearest bathroom/ indoor plumbing is about 10 mins up the road at the nearest convienence store.
There is a fast running stream which is great for washing hands :)
There are no trash receptacles on the property...please bring your own trash bag and remove it when you leave.

Règlement intérieur

Bring your own trash bag, remove it when you leave.
Do not cut down any can use fallen limbs to work on the 'fort' for fun but please bring your own firewood.
Make sure that any campfires are watched constantly and completely extinguished before leaving.

Beautiful spot on a creek. .25 walk down to spot. Neighbors close by but not visible. Be aware of bears and ticks. It's the season for them. Otherwise good spot and communicative host.

Really enjoyed the stay. Alexis's place was not too hard to find and I would definitely recommend it. Alexis was very responsive and helpful. She recommended lots of places for us to go and is a really cool person! The actual campsite is about 300ft away from the car, down a small hill, over a small stream, and over a fallen tree; so be advised if you have any medical issues that may make this harder for you. There are opossums in the woods so if you hear rustling at night it is them. They won't bother you, just shine a light at them and they'll run away, so don't worry. If you're there for multiple days I would recommend keeping food in an airtight container or in your car so you don't attract animals (normal camping rule). Again, I loved the stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone on a budget!

Alexis' directions were spot on. We found the trail with no issues. It's a bit of a hike down to the site, but definitely doable, even with gear in hand. (Note: Only bring what you can carry, it's not possible to roll or team carry anything to the site comfortably) Wild life was tame. We spotted a giant possum, but it let us be after we shined our flashlights on it. (Another Note: bring flashlights, they are a necessity.) Bring plenty of firewood, as gathering wood is not condoned. You'll need at least a couple bags of wood for a small fire for one night. Don't count on bringing any canoes, kayaks, etc. It would be way too hard to get them down to the water with the level it is currently at. Other than the do's and dont's , we had a very relaxing trip. The sound of the stream will put you at peace, though the neighbors dog does have a loud bark at times. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to try out primitive camping with the safety net of a nearby car, good cell reception and an accommodating host.

Staying at Alexis's camp was an incredible experience! Reason for 4 stars was the difficulty on finding the location... It turned out to be pretty easy but we got there late night and it was hard to see the rope hanging on the tree indicating the way.. Lol beautiful and peaceful place! As a first timer camp I got scared with the sounds thinking there were people around and we started to question ourselves if the place was safe. We also saw a light looking like flashlight but it never moved from its place.. So those things freaked me out a little bit lol but it was nobody.. It was just us and the sounds of the nature... Ended up relaxing and loving the place and the experience.. I will definitely come back!! And next time I won't be scared and I won't wast time looking for the place lol Alexis was really nice too.. She kept in contact with me even though it was very late at night.. LOVE IT!!! May get a tattoo next time lol

I had a really good time here. It was pretty hard to find so make sure you get very clear instructions before making the trip. It is also a bit of a walk to the site so carry lightly. There is a bench, fire pit, clothes line and we found wooden pallets. The creek has a large dip if you're bringing a canoe/kayak. There were small waterfalls and flowing water right next to us as well. It was all worth it to me however.

The campsite was phenomenal. Location was a little tricky to find but that's what makes it a primitive camp site. Alexis was very accommodating and responded with any questions right away. This is a great place for hammocks for sleeping. The fresh water spring was amazing to fall asleep to. We will be staying here again the next time we visit the area.
