À propos de ce logement
I LOVE living in this house - it's history is grand, arty, a bit naughty...
It's beautiful, it's right on the beach, it's a short hop into the heart of town...
It's in THE best part of Brighton..
Fancy coming to stay?
** This room is unavailable until May '17 **
** DURING MAY the flat will be covered in beautiful art :-), as it will be part of the Artist Open House festival. Expect painting, sculpture, ironwork, jewellery, and an illustrated history of the house! **
This is a great place to stay whether for a holiday, city break or for work.
Right by a more peaceful part of the beach, and backed by hills where Sussex sheep graze and flowers bloom in abundance...
Yet only minutes away from the centre of one of the most creative, buzzing, diverse and vibrant Cities in the country...
The flat really does have it all!
This room is a small, peaceful room in a Regency house on the grandest square in Brighton.
The flat is part of a huge house with a serious artistic history and an air of faded grandeur rigorously maintained by the landlord..
The interior of the flat is an intriguing 60s/Regency mix, and the houses history is evident everywhere.
I love it's shabby grace.
In your room:
- your own sink!
- double bed, bench, small table.
- plenty of shelving, under-sink cupboard and a small wardrobe for your use.
- tea & coffee making facilities
- guest fridge (in the hall outside the room)
- towels & toiletries
Accès des voyageurs
I work in the front part of the flat (which includes the dining area), so there is no access there after breakfast.
No access to the kitchen either (except at breakfast) - but the bathroom is always available!
There are 4 steps up to the front door. After that, the flat is all on a level.
Please contact me for more information on accessibility.

I hope I will make you feel at home - but I will mostly leave you alone to do what you want!
I've lived in Brighton for 25 years now, so I can give you advice on where to go, how to get there, what to do, and what not to do!
We are part of KempTown Village, the coolest part of Brighton with it's independent shops, cafes, restaurants and lovely pubs.
It's a brilliant place to hang out, eat amazing food, discover quirky corners, and you can do all of that while working if you want to - wifi is everywhere of course!
KempTown has it's own carnival in June, when the usually chilled-out streets are flooded with happy mayhem, and it hosts the 2 day street party for Pride in August every year.
KempTown is a large area of Brighton that spreads east along the beach from the town centre and ends at the Marina.
The flat is minutes walk from the Marina, which has many restaurants looking out over the boats, plus shops, cinema, supermarkets, leisure centre and much more besides.
Do I need to tell you about Brighton? It is everything they say it is - and more...
It doesn't take long to get to where you're going in town. Theatres, clubs, pubs, bars, restaurants - whatever your plans, it's easy to get there.
By far the best way to get into town is by miniature train - The station is opposite the house, and leaves every 15mins to take you along the beach into town. It's a 16 minute ride to the Pier!
Buses: there are many many bus lines that run past the house! They go directly into town (15-20mins) and all over the place - some run all night...
Train: there are 2 bus routes that run directly between the Train station and the house - each take 20-30mins depending on traffic.
Parking: there is no free parking, but I can get a Visitor Parking Permit for £3 per day (let me know in advance).
Walking: it takes 20-30 minutes to walk into town - either the scenic route along the seafront (nice), or through KempTown village (nice), or straight down the main road (sort of nice).
A continental style breakfast is included in the booking price - (toast/pastries/cereal/juice/tea/coffee etc) breakfast room service is available on request!
A cooked breakfast may be available for an extra charge - I will give you a menu with options and prices on arrival.
Well behaved pets are welcome.
It's a fairly peaceful house, and I get on very well with my neighbours, so your help in keeping the peace is appreciated!

I'm currently a jewellery maker - I use old and vintage beads to make necklaces (and very nice they are too!). I'm originally from a small Sussex village so I seek out the wild wherever I can find it - thankfully there's plenty to be found round here..
I live and work in this grand old house; I swim in the sea, I walk in the woods and up on the hill, I read anywhere; I hang with my family, I hang with my friends; I drum, dance, sing, and thank my lucky stars I live in this awesome city full of bright, kind, beautiful and crazy people.
I've been in Brighton since 1995 and have seen it change and bloom and mutate and grow...
I live to travel, and like to travel alone, off the beaten track. If I can't travel I go to the beach, or go into town, and am surrounded by people all over the world. Can't ask for more really :-)
I've done a lot of language teaching in my time, so I am practised at communicating with people who don't speak much/any english.
I've done 2 years of Artist Open Houses at the flat, and love showing people round and sharing this brilliant place.
