Two story townhouse w/ fenced yard next to Lloyd Steel Park. 10 min drive to airport, 10 minute drive to downtown. Expansive Master suite W/King bed, two rooms W/full beds, living room has plush sectional which sleeps 2. Near coastal trail, lake hood, & Rustic Goat Restaurant.
Sitting directly across the street from a large park with soccer fields and playground equipment our home is great for people traveling with children, pets, or who just like to have some green space for walks.
Our home also has a cute front lawn which is fenced as well as a separate and private back courtyard area which is also fenced and accessed by a door off the kitchen with a patio area and small deck for eating or bar-b-q cooking.
The inside of our home features a roomy downstairs living room with flatscreen television, fireplace, and a plush sectional sofa which arranges into a full size sleeper.
1/2 bath downstairs with full laundry and updated kitchen is also downstairs.
The upstairs master bedroom has walk in closet and private bath with shower and the two other upstairs bedrooms share a full bath off the hallway.
10 minute drive to the international airport or to Lake Hood Float plane airport. 10 min drive to the shops and restauraunts downtown, and only a 7 minute bike ride (or 15 min walk) to the famous coastal trail which you can follow west to Point Woranzoff park or follow it east into Downtown.

As our guest you will have access to the entire home which will include the washer and dryer. It also includes access to the detached single car garage which has 3 adult bicycles and two kids bikes as well as assorted soccer balls and footballs and other outdoor games to enjoy at the park across the street.

You will likely not see us in person but both my wife and I are life long Alaskan's and it is important to us that our visitors enjoy Alaska so we are both readily available by text, e-mail or phone to field any questions about visiting Alaska or if any problems were to arise.
The convenient location and the proximity to the Park and Turnagain elementary school is one of our favorite things about our neighborhood.
We also love love love the Rustic Goat Restauraunt for lunch and dinner (5 min) and the famous Gwennies for breakfast (7 min) and one of our favorite things to do is to sit and enjoy lunch or dinner at the lakefront Anchorage hotel (7 min) and watch the float planes take off and land while enjoying a cocktail or a bite to eat.
Our neighborhood was established before they had regulations on parking so when you first drive in the on street parking around the four plex buildings will feel pretty crowded but once you come around the block to our area it lightens up and the benefit is you will also have on street parking out in front of your home or we also have a private parking spot in the back services by an alley way.
Your home while you are here in Anchorage is situated approx 200 yards from the People Mover bus stop for Route 36 which services downtown, University of Alaska, and the Providence Hospital UMED district.
There is on street parking out in front of the house.
There is also a private parking spot in back off of the alley serviced by the alley
Lastly, if you need to go on an extended trip and have to leave your car we recommend you pull your car into the garage and if you need to make room you can place the bikes and equipment in the house while you are away.
As with most neighborhoods and while traveling we recommend you not leave any valuables in your car and to keep you car locked as well as lock the doors of the home while you are away or sleeping.
We have tried to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming home for our guests and our expectation and our guests agreement is that our home is to be used for residential purposes. We expect, and our guests agree, to respect our neighbors by being polite and keeping noise levels to a reasonable level with "quiet hours" being observed from 10pm to 10am. Unruly or loud behavior will result in forfeiture of your security deposit and termination of your stay.
Our home is not intended to be a "party house" and is designed for a maximum of 6 guests. Hosting more than 6 people at the house without prior approval will results in forfeiture of security deposit and termination of your stay.
Our home is a non-smoking home and smoking in our home (of any substance) will forfeit your security deposit.
Our motto when we travel is to leave our hosts properties in as good or better condition than we found them and as our guest you are agreeing to the same. Please take your shoes off at the door, do not stain the carpet, make an effort not to scratch/dent any of our furniture or floors, etc... any damage above typical wear and tear form normal use will be deducted from the security deposit.
When leaving please lock all doors and make sure all lower level windows are closed and latched and make sure all appliances are turned off. Repeated failure to leave the house secure will results in cancellation of your stay.
Guests are encouraged to not leave valuables in their cars over night and to lock their car doors. We also recommend that if you are going to leave for an extended period of time that you pull your car into the garage.
The cost of supplying basic essentials for up to 6 guests is significant and we expect all items to remain after your visit. We will take inventory after your stay and the cost (labor and purchase) of missing/broken items ( plates, cups, towels, etc...) will be deducted from Security deposit.
We allow pets on APPROVAL BASIS ONLY. Having pets stay at the home without prior approval will result in forfeiture of security deposit. Pre-approved pets may enjoy the home and yard but any damaged caused by pets or the cost in labor to clean pet stains will be deducted from security deposit. Please contact us if you would like pre-approval for your pets stay.
The bar-b-q is provided as a courtesy and we will make an effort to assure there is propane in the tank but if you chose to use the bar-b-q you may need to exchange an empty tank for a full tank ( at your cost) at the local Lowe's if it is out of propane.

Born and raised in AK - spent my undergrad at WSU and Univ of Oregon GO DUCKS!!! Spent a short stint as Science Teacher, few more years in the waterski and wakeboard industry, currently a Realtor. Married to an amazing woman with an amazing catering company here in AK. Can't live without Alaska, Skiing, Water skiing, Travel, and my wife and daughter. We spend alot of time in Central America and I think Costa Rica was our favorite trip although I think my wife would say Italy. When we travel we like to spend half our time "going local" to really get the feel of a place and half our time living mid level luxury hotel style. My wife is the social butterfly and I am the planner. We try to take things as they come and we prefer a mild level of privacy and both being in our forties we are pretty quiet folks but we DO love a good glass of wine.
