We had a very nice stay at this charming and recently renovated, traditional Japanese house. It is spacious with a large living room, small, traditional Japanese kitchen and bathroom, as well as two spacious bedrooms upstairs. It’s located on a quiet street with nice restaurants close by, walking distances to many sights, and conveniently located to reach many of Kyoto’s sights. The portable wifi is a great feature, and the hosts are lovely, very kind and very helpful!

Authentic Japanese home on quiet street! Chie & her family were excellent hosts -- her husband helped us ship our luggage by courier service to our next destination, the house had several area maps with lots of information. The beds (futon) were perfect and we all slept very well. The two bedrooms upstairs comfortably fit our family of four; and the downstairs room was big enough for at least two more. Overall, a great stay and great value! We could definitely visit again.

Charming and traditional Japanese home in a quaint back street of Kyoto. An excellent accommodation choice for those wishing to experience the Japanese lifestyle. If you are a 5 star resort person then this is not the place for you. Home is very comfortable with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a living room, bathroom and small kitchen downstairs. The portable Wi-Fi provided by the hosts is very handy for those not wishing to incur expensive data roaming fees. House is located about a 20min walk from Nijo castle and is well positioned to visit the temples which surround Kyoto on all sides (train, bike or taxi transport required). There are a number of restaurants nearby including a Chinese restaurant across the street as well as Ramen and Sushi restaurants within a few minutes walk. An excellent French restaurant and bakery is also around the corner. Hosts are very welcoming.

Our family love traveling, visiting abroad at least once or twice a year. Specially to Asian countries recently.

We listed one our house on "Airbnb" to welcome guests who visit this beautiful city, Kyoto .

Our house is a traditional and charming Japanese one in a quaint back street of the city, and the best place for you to experience the real Japanese lifestyle and daily life of Kyoto people.

Our house locates in the heart of Kyoto city, walking distance to the Kyoto imperial palace-known as the center of Kyoto. Also walking distances to Nijo castle of world heritage, Gaisha area etc. To access all main beautiful places like Golden Temple, Kiyomizu Temple etc., takes only about 15 minutes.
