A granny flat great for lodgers created from a former stable and private sitting room in the former mushroom tunnel. Cosy spaces with rural views from the mushroom tunnel and use of a private garden. 1 mile from Stone station and shops. The garden is southfacing. The Mushroom Tunnel is a simple space: no fitted kitchen; the shower room is compact but we hope you will spend a lot of time outside or looking at the views and that you will enjoy this space for what it offers. No streetlights.
Access from the courtyard directly into the kitchen area, with doors off to a double bedroom, small sitting area and compact shower and toilet. The bedroom and kitchen/entrance area are formed of former stables. The sitting area is formed from one of the historic mushroom tunnel. Double doors from here open into a greenhouse and garden area from where there are views of the woods. The whole space forms part of a larger barn conversion. The garden gets the sun most of the day. Afternoon sun is lovely in the kitchen and bedroom.
Accès des voyageurs
The Mushroom Tunnel apt is largely self contained, sharing utilities with the main barn. There is independent access from the courtyard. Everyone staying is welcome to explore the woods and stream area.
Well behaved dogs are welcome although they MUST be on leads at all times in the woods and grounds due to local wildlife and our sheep. There is no street lighting. We will provide a torch for you. The yard is hard surfaced but may get a bid muddy. Our own dog is often in the yard.

We are generally around to answer queries and available by phone, text and email.
The Mushroom Tunnel is part of the main barn. We may be up and about late and early depending on work commitments. We have a dog who is generally very quiet but does like looking out of the window to see who is coming and going and his preferred place is in the yard. The washing machine is in a separate building nearby.
Pets may be allowed. Because of the wildlife here, particuarly the birds, we are not able to take cats unless they stay inside. Dogs need to be on the lead while out and about. Our own dog spends a lot of time in the yard outside the Mushroom Tunnel. The whole courtyard and wider environment are generally quiet. The Mushroom Tunnel is under the owner's bedroom so we ask for this to be respected and noise to be kept down during the later evening and night. We have had lodgers for some time and this hasn't caused any issues so far.
