À propos de ce logement
Tucked into a quiet valley, Coombe Farm B&B Goodleigh is a beautiful, renovated Devon long house. Our smallholding is a peaceful place, a short drive from north Devon's beaches and Exmoor National Park. We have 2 other guest rooms; The Cloud Room and the Green room.
The Blue Room is spacious with east and south facing windows. It has a superking size bed which can be set up as twin beds on request. We provide goose down duvets and high thread count Egyptian cotton bedding. The room has a table and chairs where you can sit and enjoy a view of the garden. The en-suite bathroom has a marble shower, double marble sinks and a double-ended roll-top bath with garden views. There is a TV in the room.

Our 3 guest bedrooms (see also the Cloud Room and Green room) are self-contained and have a separate entrance and staircase, offering privacy from the hosts' accommodation. Guest bedrooms have lockable doors. Our guests have the use of a private sitting room on the ground floor, where you will be served a breakfast (both continental and cooked) and where you can also enjoy an evening drink in front of the wood burner. You can also sit outside or stroll around the garden.
We are a working smallholding and keep livestock on the property. Guests are welcome to wander the farm and to also enjoy our lovely gardens where you may encounter free-range children.

We are available if you need anything while you are staying with us.
We have a public footpath that runs through our property and we are only a 15 minute stroll through fields and woodland (wellies recommended, we have many sizes available to borrow!) to the village of Goodleigh where you can find a lovely meal and a drink at our local pub, The New Inn at Goodleigh, where Jules and Justin will welcome you.
There are many walks from the farm through surrounding fields and woodland. This is also a great place for cycling; towards Exmoor if you like it hilly, or on the Tarka trail towards Braunton or Bideford for a flat, off-road, tar-sealed ride (the longest one in the UK). We are a short drive from some of the best surfing in the UK at Croyde, Putsborough or Saunton Sands. We have lockable storage available for any equipment you bring.
As keen walkers, cyclists and beach-goers we are happy to provide advice, routes and maps for our guests.
We are a 10 minute drive from Barnstaple rail station. There is a bus stop around 20 mins walk from the house, but as in most rural areas public transport is fairly limited.
We can provide an evening meal by arrangement. We use pork, chicken and mutton from our own animals as well as our own eggs and vegetables in our meals. We can tailor your meal to your requirements. From pizzas cooked in our wood-fired oven, barbecued meats to a 3 course meal.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome to stay in your room however you will need to bring their own bedding and ensure that the dog does not get onto the bed or furniture please. Dogs may not be left in the rooms for long periods.
There is a television in the room and wifi is available.
The rooms contain tea and coffee-making facilities. We will do our best to provide our guests with any other comforts to make your stay an enjoyable one, such as a bottle opener or wine glasses perhaps!
We have a swimming pool for brave souls (it's not heated) with a lovely sheltered sun terrace. Guests may use the pool at their own risk.
Outdoor seating is available and guests are welcome to use these facilities for a picnic.
As well as our animals, there is plenty of wildlife on the farm. Lots of birds visit the garden and we have resident owls and woodpeckers. The day we wrote this we saw an otter in our stream for the first time.
No smoking in the house please.
