NEW LISTING Beautiful family home built in 1867 and recently restored to the highest standard. Close to transport links and the centre of town, yet surrounded by greenery and just a two minute walk from the River Thames. Affluent conservation area.
Our beautiful home is a classic London Victorian townhouse next to Hammersmith Bridge, built in 1867 and recently decorated to the highest possible standard.
On the ground floor we have a large, light-filled kitchen diner with a breakfast bar and stainless steel range cooker, with sliding doors fully opening out onto the garden. The large double sitting room with wall-mounted TV (cable TV, DVD and Netflix) hosts a baby grand piano, as well as unique art and photography.
On the first floor we have a large master bedroom with superking bed overlooking the street below through a large bay window, and master bathroom with walk in shower and bath.
On the second floor we have a further double bedroom with kingsize bed, a children's bedroom with bunkbeds and multiple books and toys, a gorgeous baby nursery and a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
On the third floor we have another stunning bedroom with double bed and ensuite shower room.
The garden, both front and back, has been designed by a leading designer and is equally pretty in summer and winter, with manicured box ball hedges, stunning night lighting, a BBQ and large terrace with all weather dining table and chairs. There are also comfy tub style chairs half way down the garden on a separate mini terrace, so you can enjoy a cup of tea (or G&T!) in the full afternoon sunshine or at sunset. We also have a BBQ and log burner, and children's play area at the back of the garden, with fortress, large sandpit and monkey bar climbing frame, so the garden can be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
The house is situated just a two minute walk from the beautiful Victorian Hammersmith Bridge and the River Thames with its multitude of famous riverside pubs (check out The Dove - where King Charles 11 dined in the 17th century - and the Blue Anchor - among the oldest pubs in London, both within close walking distance). We also have the Michelin-starred River Cafe Restaurant within walking distance (20 mins along the north tow path), and lots of other cafes and eateries nearby. The river tow path is a beautiful place for a morning or evening run or walk, and there is a good children's playground a short walk away. We also have a new 'designer' cinema nearby (the Olympic Studios) with private members club and buzzing brasserie.
