Primary Renters are those making and managing the booking and must be at least 20 years of age, on the date of arrival, to check-into the property without adult accompaniment.

Check-in time is 2PM EST and check-out time is 12PM EST. Requests for early check-in and/or late check-out will be handled on a case by case basis, pending on the availability of the rental property at the time of check-in and/or check-out.

Valid passports of all RENTERS, that is, those whose names are on the VIP2Cuba voucher, must be presented at the time of check-in. Only RENTERS are permitted to stay in the rental property. Should any RENTER listed on the VIP2Cuba voucher wish to invite outside GUESTS into the rental property, he or she must provide the Rental Property Management with the names of the GUESTS before they are invited to enter the premise and are allowed to use the rental properties’ facilities. The Rental Property Management reserves the right to allow or deny the entry of said GUESTS.

All children under 4 years of age, at the time of check-in, are able to stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children over 8 years of age, at the time of check-in, will considered as an adult.

The maximum allowance per bed is 2 persons, regardless of age. This amount cannot be exceeded. The Rental Property Management reserves the right to change the gender allowance per bed, regardless of age, as per their discretion.

Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those who are 21 years of age or older, at the time of check-in, with valid identification. Property management has the right to refuse alcohol without valid identification.

The rental property has a zero tolerance policy in which it can refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in the house or may remove a person who:
– While on the premises of the rental property acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner.
– Destroys or threatens to destroy house property, including the property itself
– Causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance
– Refuses or is unable to pay for accommodations or services rendered by the Rental Property Management

The Rental Property Management and owners take zero responsibility should any illegal or illicit activates be conducted by any Renters or Guests within the house and reserves the right to contact and report any such activities to the respective authorities such as the Cuban Immigration and Cuban Police Department. The Renter is responsible for such activities of all persons who are on the VIP2Cuba Voucher, registered Guests that have been approved by Rental Property Management, and any person who does not fall into these two categories but are in anyway affiliated with the Renter and/or approved Guests.

The Rental Property Management may limit the number of persons who occupy a particular guest room in the house, based on the number of beds within and the ‘2 persons/bed maximum’ rule, and has the right to allow only registered Guests of the property to use its facilities. That is, only registered Guests are allowed to occupy or share a bed within the property so long as it does not exceed the ‘2 persons/bed maximum’ rule.

Any person (Renter, approved Guest, affiliate of Renter and/or Guests) who negligently or intentionally causes damage to the rental property, or any furniture, furnishings, and property within the house, shall be fully liable for all damages sustained by the Rental Property Management and staff, including but not limited to the property’s loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent while damage is being repaired.

All property interiors, including guest rooms, are 100% non-smoking. A $200 CUC cleaning fee will be charged to any guest who violates the no smoking rule.

Pets are not allowed due to concerns that some guests have allergic reactions towards pet dander and due to the threat of ticks and fleas.

The Rental Property Management reserves the right to conduct housekeeping services everyday between the hours of 8:00AM EST to 4:00PM EST at a time convenient to them.

The villa was a fantastic choice for our weekend getaway to Cuba! The staff, especially Sylvia, were beyond warm and welcoming. They helped with recommendations for local places to eat and were wonderfully attentive. The location is great, within walking distance to many restaurants and a short cab ride into Havana. I will definitely stay again!

VIP2CUBA, through which we booked the house, was great. Jola was always very responsive and friendly, and took her time to answer all of our questions. She also helped us arrange transportation for a couple of tours (Vinales and Varadero) and helped us arrange for a car to pick us up from the airport. In retrospect, arranging for transportation from the airport is not necessary, as there are plenty of taxis at the airport. When you walk into the house, the house is beautiful and very impressive. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, which is very convenient. The house is very clean and the pool is good size. The house is stocked with alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (available for purchase) and has one or two housekeepers/servers (who can make snacks for purchase) and a security guard on duty at all times. The housekeepers clean each room and make the bed every day as if you are in a hotel, which is nice. They also make coffee in the evening, which is convenient. There is no access to the kitchen, so you never have to cook your own food. There was another family living on the second floor of the house and we would sometimes see them in the backyard or on the front porch. They were nice. There are two small dogs in the house and they sometimes wander into the backyard. Overall our stay in the house was very good and enjoyable and I would recommend this house. Most people in our party of 9 had issues with the pool temperature (granted, we were there in November when it is 80F during the day and 65-70F at night). There is no pool heating in Cuba, so the pool temperature is about 70F and was too cold for most people to use in the evening and in the morning. We also had a problem/misunderstanding with breakfast. Our voucher said "owner agreed to include breakfast," but did not specify the kind of breakfast included. After being given a normal breakfast with eggs, ham, cheese, and fruits for 4 days, we were approached by the main housekeeper Sylvia who told us that the owner did not agree to a full breakfast, but only to American breakfast. She then said that we will be charged 10CUC/day/person for breakfast if we wanted to keep the same breakfast, but that they would give us a free American breakfast for the remaining days. The American breakfast that we were served for free was: coffee, toast, juice, butter, and jam. After the argument about breakfast, Sylvia was visibly not as nice to the people in our group for the rest of our stay which made our last 5 days out of 9 somewhat awkward. The other housekeeper (Joli) continued to be nice to us though. The lesson here is, if you are getting free breakfast or paying for breakfast in advance, make sure you get an explanation of what kind of breakfast you are getting.

We were a family of 13 people that stayed for four days at Villa Ray. The overall experience was fantastic for everyone. The owner and staff were exceptional in taking care of our every need and quickly resolving a couple of small issues. The Villa has all the modern facilities of a boutique hotel and the large pool was a welcome relief after a long days in Havana. The food was good and plentiful. The location is quite good though rundown like most of Havana. The Villa was like an oasis in what it once was a very upscale part of the city. We all felt quite safe walking around even late in evening. This is a very good value for the money that we highly recommend.

Words are simply not enough to capture the amazing experience that I had celebrating my birthday at this beautiful home. The pictures do not do it justice. The staff (Cari, Sylvia and Gloria) make the stay very comfortable. If you need anything they will certainly make it happen. The breakfast was great every morning, though I do think it is a bit overpriced, but all in all I would definitely stay here again. We were a group of 14 and I don't think there is any other place in Havana that could have been as nice as this for such a large group.
