Échanges avec les voyageurs
We will show you around our home upon your arrival. We will be available to answer questions, help you discover our town, and make your stay comfortable and memorable. Otherwise, we will only interact at your level of comfort.
Our southern exposure home offers views! Night sky, sunsets, nature. Snooze in one of our hammocks, sit in the jacuzzi (depending on time of year), hold hands beneath the stars and make plans for the future, write that novel you've been meaning to get around to, play a game of croquet in the yard, go snipe hunting and bag a Tom turkey, or read a good book with a cold glass of lemonade.
Respect the peaceful neighborhood and leave refreshed. Our home is a great place to de-stress.
While we don't permit alcohol on the premises, there are nearby bars and restaurants that can satisfy your thirst!
Our home is not child proofed. While children are welcome with their parent or guardian, we do not accept responsibility for their safety. We do not have child size beds.
We appreciate guests who want to host a party or an event. However we only have three bedrooms and 1 bathroom! Can you imagine 10 people sharing one bathroom in the morning? Neither can we. Overnight registered guests are limited to our sleeping arrangements. ABSOLUTELY NO UNREGISTERED OVERNIGHT GUESTS.
My empty-nester wife and I enjoy travel, cultures, experiences and conversations with people. When visiting places we want to get out and gather local memories. Eating a mango from a plantation in the D.R., finding a feisty tarantula on a jungle walk in Belize, having a camel "hack a loogie" just inches from my face in the Sahara, building a house in an impoverished Mexican village, visiting a farm house in far western China, waking up to howling monkeys in a Costa Rican tree house, eating goat for Christmas in a small town in Spain, having a Mauritanian youth tell us a ghost story by firelight of a creature that lives in tree tops and feasts on white man's muscle, eating squirrel stew in Louisiana, hugging a shark in the Caribbean, hugged by elephants in Thailand . . .
Now that we have so many rooms with no kids to fill them with, we decided it was time to bring in more people and express our hospitality. Perhaps in the process gather some more stories.
I've learned that everyone has a story to tell. When I take the time to listen, my compassion deepens, my appreciation expands, my fears dissipate and my prayers change.
We'd like to extend a sincere invitation to anyone who wants to stay in our home for a visit. Kick back. Enjoy an evening by the fire. Do some writing. Swing in the hammock. Watch a movie. Wonder at the wildlife. Forget the world and its stresses exist for a bit and unwind.
Hope to see you soon!
