You are staying at one of the rooms at a 100 year old Japanese house in Gion.
This house is built for a dance teacher who taught Maiko and Geisha in Gion. The house is located in very quiet residential area in Gion and very close many temples.
The room is blight and spacious compared with a typical hotel or ryokan. The room has a partial garden view.

The guest has own private room key and a gate key as such guests can free to go out and in the house until 11.30 pm.
The guest has access to shower room, wash room, and toilets. Guest can use a refrigerator is at the reception area. No kitchen facility at the house.

I am available for any help or assistance during the guests stay. I try to provide the information the guests needed at the check in time.
We have curfew at 11:30 pm (you cannot enter the house after 11.30 pm). There is no toilet or bathroom in your room.

There is a public bath called SENTO on 3 minutes walk distance.

After searching a traditional Japanese house for a long time, I finally found this beautiful authentic Japanese house called Machiya in a quiet neighborhood of Gion,where tons of fancy Japanese restaurants, bar and geisha street are located.
I would like to share this authentic living with my guests who would love and care for this beautiful 100 year old a Japanese dance master's house.
