Spacious 5 bedroom/ 4 bathroom ,rustic cabin with in walking distance of Bass Lake and a 30 min drive to the southern entrance of Yosemite.

Spacious 5 bedroom, 4 bath mountain cabin near Bass Lake and Yosemite. Walk down to the lake, or take a drive to Yosemite's south entrance.

Take a break from your fast paced life and enjoy a spacious mountain cabin with your friends and family! Enjoy the lake or take a day trip to Yosemite and return for a BBQ out on the deck with views of nature around you.

The cabin is a great size for several families, hiking groups, birthdays, or reunions. There are 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, and dining for 18. Beds for 16 adults plus 2 kids.

Memorial Day through Labor Day we only offer Weekly Rentals Friday to Friday.

Amenities include Wi-Fi, 2 Flat screen TVs, Blu-ray/DVD players, Gas BBQ grill, Board Games, Cards, Books, and Children’s DVDs. (Cable TV-summer only.)

Bedroom setups (upstairs):
-bears den – cal king bed with jack & Jill bathroom, access from deck or through jack and Jill bath. (new addition, 2013!)
-mountain room - queen bed
-cub room - 2 bunk beds (twin on top, double on the bottom) with jack & Jill bathroom/tub (newly remodeled, 2012!)

Bedroom setups (downstairs):
-nature room - queen bed, kid bunk bed with connecting bathroom.
-lake room - queen bed, twin day bed with connecting bathroom
-family room - day bed (newly remodeled, 2014!)

Parking for 5 vehicles is located at the top of the cabin. It takes several steps down to reach the top floor. Once inside: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, great room, deck, BBQ, and two flat screen TV’s are all easily accessible on one level. There is a separate entrance for the downstairs off the deck or around the outside.

This is a cabin in the mountains and the place is a bit quirky. If this is appealing, we are the place for you! Please review some of the cabin's quirks at the end of the listing. If you have any questions, please ask.

For your stay in the mountains please be prepared for steep driveways, no sidewalks, and during winter potential snow/ice. Carrying chains during winter is advisable.

We are just across the street from the northern tip of the lake. There is access between the docks. These docks do not always have water, but should this summer. It is a short drive, or walk to Falls Beach where there is bathrooms and BBQs for day use. The boat launch, gas station, and food is at The Pines a 5 min drive. For Winter we are a short drive to Badger Pass for Skiing and Snowboarding.

Linens are provided with this pricing. I can offer you a $150 discount if you would like to bring your own bed linens, bath and kitchen towels. Don't forget to bring along Beach Towels if you are planning on swimming in the lake.

Quirky Details:
( a ) Access to Bedroom 1 is either through the outside deck (slider door) or the ‘Jack and Jill’ bathroom. Best fit for Bedroom 1 & 2 are (a) a family with children or (b) guests who would not mind access through the deck or bathroom walkway. During the summer Bass Lake is nice and warm so may not be an issue. During winter, the outside deck may be a bit cold.
( b ) The downstairs has a separate entrance off the deck. (To go between the upstairs/downstairs guests must either access the outside deck spiral staircase or walk the ramp by the side of the house. These are both on the exterior of the cabin.) This can be positive for downstairs guests who would like to retire early from the upstairs activities or just be a bit separate from the upstairs. This may or may not work for groups with small children. (There is a picture of the deck spiral staircase on VRBO for reference.)
( c ) It takes two steps down to reach Bathroom 4 off the Nature Room.

No smoking, no pets. Expect the guests to leave the house in as good of shape as when they arrived and respect the neighbors.

CHECK OUT / CLEANING PROCEDURES: This vacation rental property will be inspected, sanitized and cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure. The cleaning fee you have paid will provide for normal cleaning at check-out so that you can enjoy your vacation up to the last moment. Adhering to the Check-Out Time is very important to ensure the cleaning and maintenance crew can prepare the unit for the next guest's arrival. Tenant is required to leave the property in the same general condition it was at Check-In meaning:
a) Any debris, rubbish and discards removed from the home. Instructions at house.
b) Dishes cleaned and put away.
c) Strip all used beds and place linens and towels in the laundry room.
d) Put back any furniture or items that have been rearranged (inside and outside home).
e) All remote controls left in the rooms with the TV's in plain sight.
f) Refrigerator and unit should be left clean and free of perishable food.
g) Any toys, bikes, lounge chairs, equipment, etc. cleaned and put back in place.
h) BBQ cleaned with brush. Propane turned off.
i) Turn-off lights, heater, air conditioner, fans, appliances, etc.
j) All doors and windows closed and locked.
