Rob is an antique dealer and musician , He is now making his shepherds hut available for rent due to such a high demand from friends and family who have stayed there. Everyone who has stayed in our hut has had such a special time and we want to let others from all over the world experience our little hide away in the beautiful Scottish Borders. The hut is called Rubersview named after the stunning extinct volcano "Ruberslaw", which you can see from the huts window. The hut is warm and dry, insulated and has electric heating and a small woodburning stove. There is a small kitchen with Belfast sink, toaster , small oven, kettle . Good lighting , furnished traditionally with antiques and collectables . We supply nice good quality clean bedding, towels and soap. Breakfast is included which consists of cereal , Croissants , tea , coffee, toast etc . Next to the hut is The Wash hut with hot shower, loo and basin . There is also a fridge, private garden area , decking and plenty of parking.
There are fabulous walks nearby , great hills and mountains to climb , ancient monuments and castles to see, great fishing less than a mile away , a first class golf course next door and good local pubs and restaurants for fine dining . And surprising a combination of altitude , and a very dry valley has resulted in the famous Scottish Midge not surviving here , so you can sit out well into the night without being attacked .
New hut and Gypsy wagon available early 2017 .
