The Kingfisher house is a cozy family house, ideally for 4 people-- But there is an extra sofa bed, if needed. Set in a more quiet part of our garden, it will ensure a great stay for you and your family, with lots of space to relax in.

We are a family run bungalow resort, located in typical Thai village. Thirty years ago, what is now the resort, was all rice fields. Over the years, bit by bit, it grew into beautiful garden. About 8 years ago we started to build and modify our garden to make what it is today - an enclosed tropical garden, with ponds, all sorts of plants and birds, and nestled in between it all are the bungalows. We are in close proximity to the city centre of Chiang Mai, but far enough from all the touristic areas, to make you feel like you're in a little getaway, ensuring you a relaxing stay.

You have access to the pool which is open all the time, and are free to explore all parts of the garden. There is a pool table, foosball table, and a library in the pavillon, which you are more than welcome to access as well. Bicycles, for both adults and children, are free for you to take at any given time.

There is always someone here to assist you if you have any questions or need something. Pai is more than happy to help you with organising any tours, or if you'd just like some advice on what to do while you're here. For those who enjoy cooking or want to learn a thing or two about Thai cuisine, you are free to join Pai and the ladies in the kitchen, while they are preparing the dinner buffet. While you are here, you are given a local mobile phone, so you can stay in contact with us all the time.

We are in a typical Thai village, not many foreigners come through here. Most of the people here are rice farmers, or make the bamboo parts of the umbrellas, for the next village, Bo Sang. People are very friendly, and will always give you a smile. It is very safe to walk around, and you get a feeling of being within big family.

To get to the city centre of Chiang Mai, guests use public transport, "songtaews" - - a white truck with a roof, with two benches for you to sit on, which leave from the Bo Sang intersection, every 10 minutes or so. We shuttle to the bus stop all day, so whenever you'd like to head out, someone will be ready to take you. It costs 15 Baht each way, and takes about 20 minutes. We provide you with a map of the bus route/as well as a taxi map if you wish to come back with one. The last bus coming back from town leaves at 9pm. We will of course, pick you up from the intersection again once you've arrived. You will be given a local phone during your stay, to make sure you have easy access to call us for pick up, or if you run into any problems.

We also have bicycles, which you are free to take at any time, if you'd like to explore the area, or go down to Bo Sang for an afternoon stroll.

Motorbikes are also available, for those who'd like a little more freedom, and wish to go to places that are a bit further out.

-Breakfast is included in the Price. We do pick ups/drop offs, free of charge.

-Dinner Buffets are 195 Baht per adult, and 90 Baht for kids under 10 years. It consists of 3 main Thai dishes, prepared by Pai and the ladies freshly every night, a dessert and coffee/tea.

There is a Tesco in the next village, a clinic,a massage place, lots of coffee shops and several pharmacies if you need anything.

The next village from our resort is Bo Sang, the Chiang Mai handicraft centre, well known for their colourful umbrellas, wood carvings ,textiles, and small handicrafts - - great for an afternoon stroll, or if you'd like to get some local souvenirs.
