Come stay in my beautiful, vintage townhouse! Gorgeous hardwood floors, bright sunny windows, vintage and artsy decor, plenty of privacy, and a social atmosphere. Spacious private backyard to enjoy, with a gazebo, fire pit, and comfy chairs. :)
Planning on visiting NYC or need a temporary place between moves? Come for a stay in our guest rooms!
Located in the historic Crown Heights neighborhood, our brownstone apartment is conveniently situated across Prospect Park from the Park Slope area and within walking distance of the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, The Brooklyn Children's Museum, The Jewish Children's Museum, Several churches of all denominations, and the newly restored Brooklyn Public Library(Main Branch).
The area has an eclectic taste which reflects the diversity of cultures inhabiting it. Crown Heights has some lovely architecture and a variety of peoples and shops, ranging from variously hatted and top-coated Orthodox Jewish residents to vegan Rastafarian Afro-Caribbean restaurants and college students.
The guest room is quite cozy and has everything that you might need, including a travel adapter for your electronic devices. Currently there is a very comfortable Full size bed with a memory foam mattress for excellent rest, an antique wardrobe, an AC to keep you cool during the summer months, and the pretty little skylight to illuminate your bedroom naturally during the day. You would be sharing the common spaces (2 kitchens, living room, dining room, backyard, and 3 full bathrooms) with myself and other guests, as I have several other guest rooms.
So, why is this better than staying in a Hostel? We offer lot's of Free amenities: Secure high speed WiFi, free state-of-the-art laundry machines to use and a kitchen with great tools and culinary gadgets. For all you shoppers, the entryway has a weight scale that you can use to weigh your luggage before heading off to the airport.
In the backyard there is a small garden with a gazebo, fire pit, and deck chairs to enjoy. You can park safely on the service road, which is right in front of our house, for free. I also have several bicycles(and helmets/locks) that you can use to ride around the neighborhoods.
As an added bonus, we are directly across the street from the Subway! The 3 & 4 trains run express into downtown Brooklyn and Manhattan. The B43 bus also stops right outside our door, and that will take you directly to Williamsburg, Greenpoint and Bushwick.

Guests are welcome on every floor of the house, and can use both of the 2 kitchens, as well as all 3 bathrooms! We also have a private backyard, that will be renovated by summertime, and a nice front yard to relax in as well!
Everything you'd expect in a home setting is available for you… Clean kitchen and bathroom, a refrigerator, a nice living room and access to my personal treasures: Large music collection, Books, Musical instruments, etcetera.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I like to make people feel at home and welcome, but I also strive to meet each guests individual requirements… If you want to hang out and share a nice conversation or would rather keep to yourself, I'm happy either way. :)
I'm always reachable by cell phone or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), Line, and Viber, and happy to help with directions or recommendations.
Basically, I'd like you to feel at home here and treat the place as you would your own. My rules are:
-No smoking of anything indoors! You may use the backyard to smoke, as long as you put your cigarette butts in the trash.
-Keep things clean! Wash your dishes and wipe down counters/stove if you have prepared food.
-Recycle! If you are unaware of the importance of recycling by now or are just too lazy to do it, then I might just have to smack you upside the head! ;) PLEASE, recycle all of your paper, cardboard, boxes, bags, cans, juice/milk cartons, plastic and metal. I have clearly marked bins for each in the Kitchen.
-No super loud music/movies from your laptop, ipod, etc. Use headphones; especially in the early morning or after 11pm in the evening. Since there are other people sleeping, it is important to be quiet between 11pm and 10am.
