Bright and spacious comfortable accommodation situated on the stunning scenic coastal town of Troon.
It is an exclusive use one bedroom upper floor flat in a four flatted block with access onto garden downstairs. There is on street parking at front of flat and storage facilities for bikes/ boards/ equipment on request.
A car is not essential with rail links within walking distance 0.7 mile. Train links to Glasgow 40mins, Ayr 12 minutes. Nearest Airport Glasgow Prestwick 4mins. Ferry links close by and sailing from Ardrossan (37mins on train) to Isle of Arran and Campbeltown (summer). Enjoy fab day trips from Largs to Cumbrae, Gourock to Dunoon on Argyle and Wemyss Bay to beautiful Isle of Bute.
However Troon itself offers sunset beach walks, great cycling paths and the finest world famous golf courses. Not to forget the best wind and kite surfing beach at Barassie, with shallow beach starts in consistent westerly winds great for beginners. There are also ancient castles and country parks nearby like Dundonald and Culzean Castles.
Try your winter sport skills out at Newmilns Dry Ski Slope. There are numerous restaurants within walking distance, enjoy Troon Marina yacht haven and the best fish n chips at the 'wee hurry'. Numerous pubs, cafes and shops.

The house is in a very quiet secluded street. Five minutes walk will take you to the beach and ten minutes will take you into town, the golf courses or to the station for easy day trips to Ayr, Glasgow and Edinburgh or out to the island of Arran. You can usually park a few steps from the front door, there is no rush hour in Troon!

Yvonne's place was great for my short stay in Troon. It was walkable to plenty of pubs and restaurants, yet in a quiet area with plenty of on-street parking. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with all the requisite amenities and Yvonne was very communicative and helpful throughout my stay.

Yvonne was prompt with all communications and sent a very informative welcome pack before our arrival which had all the information we needed for a prompt check in without any issues. On street parking was not a problem at all during our stay and we found the flat to be just as pictured. Very clean with a lovely spacious bedroom and an adequately equipped kitchen. Only a few minutes walk into the centre of town and Yvonne's information pack proved useful for suggestions of where to eat- to add to this the Ice Cream Factory's Scottish tablet ice cream was to die for! The only very minor things I would suggest to make the experience better (and more comparable to other Air B &Bs we have used would be these): We could have done with a hand towel in the bathroom having only been provided a bath towel and 'head towel' each. The walk out to the bins really could do with a path (or at least the grass cut)- it was very wet during our stay and with the very high grass both our trousers and shoes were completely drenched by the time we had waded through the uncut soaked grass. Wifi, although clearly stated as not being available, would make the flat more competitive as the signal there for us was very patchy. Although there were a few odds and ends in the cupboards which we were free to use having a few basics or a small welcome/breakfast pack, as we have received in other locations including for example milk, would have made it just that little bit better. However these are all very minor points and I would still very highly recommend Yvonne and the spacious, bright, well positioned, clean flat. Many thanks for having us!

This is a well-situated, convenient apartment in Troon. Communication with the host was excellent, and access to the apartment ran very smoothly. The decor was lovely, the bed very comfortable. The kitchen could do with some additions, including an upgrade of the pots and frypans. As travellers planning the next stage of our holiday, we did find the lack of free WiFi inconvenient, although it was a BT Hotspot so it was there to be purchased.

Dear Kevin, Many thanks for taking the time to provide this feedback. We have upgraded the pots and frying pan to new ones. Regarding the wifi, we offer our apartment at an extremely reasonable rate. If we were to add wifi, this would take the rate to what some people may find unaffordable and we offer a rate which is extremely good value for a one bedroom apartment. There are also plenty of places with wifi nearby. However this may be something we will look at again in future. Many thanks :)

We had a nice stay at Yvonne's place. The house is very well located. Communication with Yvonne was excellent, and guidance for entering the house and using the facilities was much appreciated. A very nice option!

From the offset, Yvonne was a great host. She is so friendly and helpful and won't hesitate to answer any questions you have. The flat was lovely, clean and so spacious! Also it's in a great location so easy enough to walk into town or to the beach. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to book again or to recommend to others!
