Description

My lovely modern second floor flat is located in a gated block on the Limehouse Cut and is spacious with plenty of natural light! It is only a short walk from Mile End station and from there the wonderful sights of London such as St. Pauls, the Olympic Park and the Tower of London are under 10 minutes away! This is a great area near several beautiful parks, and is the perfect place to base your stay when visiting this amazing city!

My beautiful one bedroom home is situated in a quiet neighbourhood surrounded by parks, shops, and places to eat and drink, making it a great place to base a stay in London.

There is a spacious kitchen/living area with large windows allowing plenty of natural light to flood the room and making it ideal for relaxing after a long day exploring the city. The kitchen is fully equipped with every amenity needed for you to have a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The bedroom boats an exceptionally comfortable bed, and my cleaners place fresh, hotel quality linen and towels on your bed prior to arrival.

The location of my flat is perfect whether you're looking to unwind in a calming environment in one of the nearby parks, or if you're wanting to hop on the tube and admire all of London's famous landmarks!

Guests will have access to the entire property during their stay.

I will be contactable by email or telephone during your stay.

Straddling the line between the glossy skyscrapers of Canary Wharf and The City of London, Limehouse is a cosy community wrapped around a small basin full of canal and leisure boats. DLR connections to Canary Wharf in the east, Greenwich to the south, and Tower Bridge and Bank to the west - an easy commute to both Canary Wharf and the City.

Shops:
There is a local corner shop about 3 minutes walk away. It's called Nisa and you can find it if you exit the gate of the complex turn right then right again (so you are leaving the canal behind you). If you then walk up Upper North Street till the crossroads of St. Paul's way and Bow Common Lane it is there on your right. It has a lot of your shopping needs but if want to do a bigger grocery shop then there is a Lidl 8 minutes walk away which is great value. To each the Lidl walk right and right as if you were going to Nisa but before you get to the crossroads take a left all the way down Thomas Road and you'll see it at the end. There is also a Tesco here but it's slightly more expensive. You can also walk along the canal to get to Lidl, it takes a few more minutes but is much more picturesque.

Mile End is the closest underground station, it is a little walk at 15 minutes (alternatively you can walk 4 minutes to St Pauls Way School Stop MJ on Bow Common Lane - you can see the stop from Nisa - and get the 323 bus 4 minutes to the station; your stop is the final stop) but worth it as once you get there, it's 3 different lines can take you quickly and directly to many of the city's famous sites and areas....

Central Line:
- St. Pauls Cathedral - 9 mins
- Oxford Circus - 16 mins
- Stratford (Westfield Stratford City [Europe's largest urban shopping centre] and the Olympic Park) - 5 mins
- Liverpool Street (terminus for the Shuttle to London Stansted Airport) - 5 mins

District Line:
- Tower Hill (The Tower of London) - 8 mins
- Embankment (Trafalgar Square & The National Gallery) - 15 mins

You could also take the DLR from Devons Road (10 mins walk from the flat) to Stratford (6 mins) or if you are flying from London City Airport, Langdon Park DLR is 8 mins walk and then 24 mins to the airport.

If you'd prefer to stay closer to home I can recommend re-enacting David Beckham's final spectacular leg of the Olympic torch along the canal to the Olympic Park... If you don't however, like him, have a speed boat or indeed the Olympic torch just wander along the canal for 35-45 minutes or so (depending on how slow you wander) till you are greeted by the Stadium. You want to go left down the canal to get there but need to briefly go the opposite directions to do so! Head right out of the gate, cross the road, walk over the canal, turn right till you find the entrance to the toe path then back on yourself all the way to Olympic glory!

There are several parks locally which are lovely such as Mile End Park which is 10 mins walk away. However, an absolute must is Victoria Park! It's gorgeous and on the other side of it is Victoria Park village which is full of wonderful pubs, restaurants and vintage shops. If you fancy a stroll aim for Lidl and when you reach there turn right and either walk up through Mile End Park or walk straight along Burdett Road which becomes Grove Road and in half an hour you'll be in Victoria Park. If you are feeling lazy just walk to Lidl and take the 277 from Pixley Street (WQ) to Old Ford Grove Road, this takes about 11 minutes.
