Welcome to East London! This flat is in the heart of Hackney - London's creative centre. Excellent cafes, bars, restaurants and nightlife all close by. The flat itself is fully equipped - light, bright, relaxed and wonderful. Read our reviews!
This is a beautiful, bright double bedroom (not the whole flat) with double bed in Hackney, E5. The flat is a warehouse flat with lots of exposed brickwork and vintage furniture (but is toasty in winter and cool in summer thanks to double glazing and gas central heating and a load of windows).
The room would suit a couple, or single traveller but I do have a single blow up bed if you are traveling with a child. It is less suitable for 3 adults, unless it is a short stay.
The flat has a large open plan living area with large 3D tv with Sky (cable), Love Film, Netflix, etc. We also have a PS3, and the slightly more retro Sega megadrive, and original Nintendo should you be that way inclined.
The kitchen is large and spacious, and we have a big dining area connected to the main space. There is a washing machine available.
We also have fast broadband, turntables and vinyl, and a massive DVD and book library.
You're hosts are Rhiannon and Rob (my flatmate), though I am quite often away and may enlist help with the airbnb when necessary!
We also have a black cat so called "Cat Animal" (so she never has an identity crisis) and you'd have to be ok with that - but I promise she's not annoying!
The bathroom is currently shared with Merve (but you are likely to have this to yourself when she is away) - Alessandro has his own bathroom.
Anything you need I am sure we can provide.
You will be given towels and bed linen, and some toiletries area available if needed. You will also be given some fridge space and a cupboard for longer stays (i.e. if you stay for a week).
We're a creative flat and love exploring everything east London has to offer so would be very happy to give you recommendations or take you out if you would like a tour.
Hackney is where it's at! Close to the Arts Picturehouse Cinema, Broadway Market (food market and cafes / nice shops), Vyner Street (galleries), Chatsworth road (food market), and Hoxton - and within easy reach of Dalston, Liverpool Street and Bethnal Green.
The local area is really vibrant with cafes, bars, trendy hairdressers and take aways if you feel lazy.
There are also big shops to buy food from too if you fancy cooking at home.
We have a cinema very close by and an abundance of nice cafes and bars, and we're within very easy reach of Shoreditch and all the boutique shops, restaurants, and design agencies around there.
I can help with anything you may need during your stay and I love the air bnb experience and making new friends, but I'm equally happy to leave you alone to your own devices.
We love the fact that every time we leave the flat, there is something new - in the last two months a new wine bar has opened, as well (email hidden) shop, and three new cafes. The transport is incredible and cheap as the buses are plentiful and go to every main place you'd want to get to, and it's within walking distance of most things you might need.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests have access to the whole flat - there is nothing off limits apart from the other two bedrooms. Our home is your home.

We like the air bnb experience and making new friends, but equally happy to leave you alone to your own devices. I am often away!
No smoking indoors (but you can in the yard), and lock the door when you come in and out. Keep the downstairs window open for the cat. If we are all away you may prefer to feed the cat yourselves rather than me bring in someone else to do it! Up to you!

I'm an artist and producer - fanatical about film photography! If you're into art + culture I'm sure we'll get along. After all, that's what London is all about.
I live with my best friend Ana (a teacher) and Alessandro (works in a bank but is actually very cool!). You'll mostly be seeing Ana as the airbnb room is actually my room that I am renting while I'm away.
We are happy to be as involved (or not) in your stay. Very happy to take you out and give you local tips or leave you to it.
I like good films and we have a good DVD library as a result - preferably with subtitles or things with Tilda Swinton in there!
I'm well travelled, some family are Danish, my dad lives in Thailand, and my mum lives in the states and I used to live on a boat. So I'm well versed with the travelling life, and love meeting new friends.
We are tidy and clean - and like others also to be. Apart from that, I'm so laid back I'm horizontal!
