Contemporary post & beam home, a rural oasis at end of a dirt road. Lush flower gardens, rock walls, & garden gazebo crowned with grape vines, a perfect place to relax.
Hiking, cycling, XC ski trails, swimming holes, nearby. Plenty of restaurants, arts and entertainment in Putney and neighboring towns.
Located on a quiet dirt road, down a long driveway our 15 acre homestead is private and alive with birds, deer and other wildlife. Our woodland includes a small patch of rare old-growth forest.
You can observe bird migration from the sun-room, watch turkey & deer wander through the field or catch a glimpse of a fox. You may hear owls at night and may be lucky enough to see one. Our screened porch provides a lovely view of the forest.
Our home is a light-filled open-plan post and beam structure with a cathedral ceiling over the living room. Every window provides beautiful views of our gardens or the natural landscape.
The guest bedroom is on the 2nd floor of the house. The newly renovated bathroom adjacent to the guest bedroom is for guests' exclusive use.
We have solar hot water and electricity. In winter our house is kept warm enough and cooler at night but the thick down comforter will keep you toasty warm.
We grow most of our vegetables, some fruits. and cut our own firewood for winter heat. Lush flower gardens blossom from spring to fall.
We provide a light self-serve breakfast such as homemade muffins or homemade yogurt made with local organic milk, coffee or tea.
