This is a beautiful, recently remodeled contemporary home. Spectacular view of the city. There are 2 bedrooms; In an awesome neighborhood close to both Lake Washington and Downtown Seattle;

This is a beautiful contemporary home. Recently experienced a complete remodel. There are 2 bedrooms. Should just two people rent the space, the master bedroom will be locked and you will have access to only the guest bedroom; The guest bedroom has a queen bed. If however, you are wanting to stay in the master bedroom and there are only two people, there will be an additional charge of $65 a night; I have other configuration that will come with different price points that we can speak of if you have larger parties. The guest suite might also be open which means that the space could accommodate larger parties. If you used the couches and the additional sleeping matts, the space could hold as much as 11 people. And that would be access to 3 bathrooms for the 11. I rent the guest suite out separately so this configuration is only available if the guest suite hasn't been booked. I do have wheel chair access if someone in your party would need that. I installed that for my later years and do not use it now. The elevator goes from the driveway and opens into the master bedroom which would mean if you are a party of two, you would have the additional charge of the master bedroom. Please arrange this with me prior to coming if you need the elevator, otherwise, it will not be available. Also please note the bathrooms etc would not be ADA compliant nor am I saying the house is set up to be ADA compliant. I also like to mention that the master bedroom does not have blinds. It is very private as it is without the blinds. I didn't want to block the view of the city and so for those who like it dark, this room is not that but the other room does have black out shades. I generally don't like it light to sleep but I have not had a problem here.

This is a duplex, which I own. The descriptions didn't allow that selection which is why I had to choose house. That means in the lower, completely separate unit, other people live. Please be considerate of them as they are always considerate of my guest and me.

If you are a party of 2; you will have access to 1 bedroom; 1 bathroom and the living space and deck; Parties of 4 would have access to both bedrooms and the other living areas. There is one room, my office, that will remain locked and not free for people to access. As noted, the elevator will only be free to use if you have made arrangements with me ahead of arriving.
There is a back yard but not very usable at the time. That is the next phase of my construction.
There is a bar-b-que that should you think you will want to use, please let me know ahead of your arrival so I can make sure the propane is on site.

I like to try and greet you when you arrive but past then, I will only be around if you require something.

This neighborhood is my ideal neighborhood. It boast a range of homes from old homes to the new contemporary homes. You will see people running (no not from someone...;-) ) walkinig their dogs, to riding their bikes. It has the feel of a small town suburban neighborhood and yet, in the heart of the city. Within blocks there are spectacular views that take your breath away as you see the majestic Mt Rainier peak above the clouds and seem so close you can touch it. This home is on the ridge so it boast views of the city skyline, Bellevue skyline, Lake Washington, and Puget Sound. You will be literally a 7 min walk to Lake Washington, or like I said earlier 40 steps to jumping on the the Park that is over I-90. You can even walk from this park over to Mercer Island across the I-90 bridge over Lake Washington.

Hose rules huh? Well, I ask that you treat my home like it was your own and this is me hoping you treat you home nice. ;-) I would ask that you keep the volume down after 10pm since this is a neighborhood and I do love my neighbors. Ok, so let me say a bit more. ;-)
1) 10pm-8am quiet hours. Have fun, just be respectful of the neighbors
2) No loud parties, only guest that are on the agreement are allowed on the premises
3) No smoking on the premises
4) No drug usage, immediate forfeiture of deposit
5) No pets without prior consent and sorry but never any cats as I am allergic to cats.
6) Shoes off at the door.
7) Master bedroom has white carpet..(I know crazy huh? LOL) But that means absolutely no shoes on this.

I have lived in Seattle since 2003 and couldn't imagine living any where else. I love this city, the location, the weather, yes, even the weather, ...just everything about this place sings to my spirit. So I am brand new to Airbnb and have heard it takes some time to get established so we shall see.
