Puerto Rico it’s graced by fabulous beaches, year-round sun and numerous opportunities for deep-sea fishing, diving and surfing, but there’s far more to Puerto Rico than suntans and snorkeling. Beyond the glitzy veneer of San Juan the coast remains incredibly raw and unspoiled, lined with miles of glittering white sands. Dig deeper and you’ll see the influence of the island’s rich stew of cultures – African, European and Taíno – in an exuberant array of festivals, tantalizing criollo food, gracious colonial towns, world-class rum and a dynamic musical tradition that gave birth to salsa.

The island’s mountainous interior is just as enticing, a land of torpid Spanish hill towns and gourmet coffee plantations. Ranches still raise Paso Fino horses, the finest in the Americas, and state forests preserve lush, jungle-covered peaks, fish-filled lakes and gurgling waterfalls. Yet it’s the juxtaposition of old and new, rather than a nostalgic throwback frozen in time, that makes Puerto Rico such a beguiling destination.

The island boasts an astounding diversity of landscapes, from the misty rain forests of El Yunque and the crumbling outcrops of karst country, to reef-encrusted desert islands and the withering dry forests of the southwest. And in several places, impenetrable mangrove swamps cradle one of nature’s most mind-boggling spectacles, the glowing waters of bio luminescent bays. Rent a car and it’s easy to escape the tourist areas, and you can zip between cool mountain forests and sun-bleached beaches in minutes. The island is remarkably safe, and though it can be tough for budget travelers, Puerto Rico compares favorably with other islands in the region.Puerto Rico it’s graced by fabulous beaches, year-round sun and numerous opportunities for deep-sea fishing, diving and surfing, but there’s far more to Puerto Rico than suntans and snorkeling. The house had two kitchens, both are infested with ants. When we arrived the floors were covered with sand. It also seemed like one bed was not refreshed prior to our stay. We avoided using any of the kitchen counter space, we swept and cleaned the house as well as changed the sheets on the one bed. There was one pot to cook with and nothing else. There was a partial roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and nothing else. There was no coffee, sugar, hand soap, tea towels. Some of these issues may seem trivial, however, when traveling and rented from Airbnb, some "Home Comforts" should be expected and provided. The best thing about this place was the location to the beach, it is a block away from the house. If Juan resolved the Ant Infestation issue, cleaned the place after each stay and made a point of providing some of the items above it would be a nice place to stay.

Great value for the size of the place. Not the most luxurious place, it's in a cute neighborhood. Conveniently located near the beach as well as several delicious restaurants. Short Uber ride to nightlife. Safe neighborhood, spacious apartment. Laundry was convenient. Juan was easy to get it contact with. Highly recommend!

This place isn't the nicest around but it still is really nice! Our group had 5 guys staying for spring break and it worked out perfect for us with the beds and all. The amenities are great, tv has Netflix on it and wifi is actually not to bad overall. Lots of places to walk to and get where you need to go we walked to almost all the bars and restaurants we went throughout the week. The area may not look like the greatest place to stay but it actually is pretty nice and safe area, the beach is right down the street from where the house is located, nice beach too not to crowded or anything. We took uber everywhere we went and I would totally recommend it saves you money in the long run when your not walking to most of the places your going. Also Juan is always there if you have any questions or concerns he was always there to help out.

We stayed for a week at Juans place and we're very satisfied. The apartment isn't luxurious by any means, but as value for money goes it was perfect. We were ten students staying, even though nine were the maximum amount, but Juan had no problems with it when I asked in advance, and he put in an extra sofa bed. I would say it fits six to eight adults comfortable with two full size beds and two sofa beds, but ten was absolutely okay! The apartment has two well equipped kitchens and two bathrooms. The AC units were effective, and the wifi was good apart from the bedroom furthest away from it and on the patio. The apartment is located inside a gated community which means the area feels safe, and the beach wasn't crowded even though it's a really nice beach, just 100 meters away! Eat the surfer tacos at the restaurant just to the right when you get to the beach! There are groceries available nearby, both local ones and a Walgreens, as well as car rental agencies, tours and anything else you might need on your vacation. An Uber to old San Juan is 10-15 dollars, and a cab a little more. The buses are 75 cents but doesn't follow a schedule and can be really unreliabe. We liked the area outside the gated community, since it had a bit of everything and didn't feel overly touristic. How ever, one might not feel completely safe walking about on your own in the middle of the night, but common sense should apply here as with anywhere else. Juan was great, communicated well and were understanding when an item broke. He also let us keep our bags and use the outside showers after check out when we had a few hours to kill on the beach. All in all, an apartment with everything you need, not luxurious but therefore great value for money, and a nice location if you want to be outside the most touristy areas of San Juan but still want plenty of great bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Don't rely on your GPS. So many one-way streets and gates where we were told to turn that we spent an hour in the middle of the night trying to find the place. Finally stopped at a gas station which happened to be across the street from the security. Beds were comfortable but blankets not large enough. Kitchen needs more utensils. Outside lanai was comfortable.
