À propos de ce logement
This zen chic space is an open plan style house by famous Mexican architect Jorge Mercado, with 2 bedrooms divided by bamboo walls, large terrace, integrated kitchen and living area with astounding views of mountains located in the countryside.
Our home is located in the mountains in the town Santo Domingo, Ocotitlan about 12-15 minutes away from the center of Tepoztlan. If you do not want to stay in the town and get away from the hustle and bustle then this is a nice retreat.
Accès des voyageurs
The house is in a private gated communal area of land shared with another 4 homes and cared for by two caretakers, Uvaldo and Roberto. Our garden is a peaceful tranquil piece of paradise. You have access to the whole home and our garden. NOT the communal areas nor the pool. Take Note: the garden is not green, however, when it is not rainy season (months December-June).

I live in Mexico City which is about 1 hour and a half to 2 hours away from Tepoztlan. I will not be there to receive you, however, I have our trusted caretaker who lives on the land and will receive you upon your arrival with the keys to the house. If there are any problems or questions whatsoever you can call me and I will be able to help out in any way possible. There will also be a house manuel upon your arrival with recommendations and phone numbers.
Santo Domingo Ocotitlan is a small village in the mountains of Tepoztlan. Close to our home there are cabins, an eco sustainable village, holistic spas and yoga retreat centers which make it a place of total relaxation from the hustle and bustle of tourists in Tepoztlan.
There are taxis that you may call and also there is a 'micro-bus' which is a public bus that arrives to Santo Domingo and goes down to Tepoztlan. I do however, recommend coming in your own car or renting a car,
Please note that this is a private communal area so parties and get togethers are not allowed in the house. Only a maximum of 4 guests may come to the home. We have 2 spaces for parking cars in our home. This is a place to come and relax in nature and re-energize yourself and balance your energy. No drugs whatsoever are allowed on the premises. Smoking is allowed only on the terrace outside or garden and must be thrown away in ashtrays, not on the ground. The villagers from the town 'pueblo' of Santo Domingo sometimes have their own fiestas (parties) on Friday or Saturday nights and sometimes can be heard from the house. Please be aware of this if noise bothers you as this is out of our hands and control. Take Note: the garden is not green, however, when it is not rainy season (months December-June).
Please respect ONLY 4 guests allowed in the house, including children. No mas de 4 huéspedes. Eso es MUY estricto. Guest check is in only between 2-8 PM. This is very scrict. People who work and administer the house do not live there and only go to recieve guests. Please be respectful of our peaceful home which has been constructed with a lot of love by my family throughout the years. Each piece of decoration tells a story throughout our travels in Asia, so please be careful with all of the decor around the home. All water used in the home is collected rain water so please be conscious about the use of water since it is very difficult to purchase and receive water in the mountains. Absolutely NO smoking of any kind inside of the house except for incense. Use ashtrays outside for cigarette buds, do not throw them out into our beautiful piece of nature. White towels only to be used in the bathrooms not the kitchen or outside. Do not leave dirty plates or pans in the sink. You must wash up or leave the dishwasher on or else a cleaning fee for dirty dishes will be charged. We hope you treat our home like you would want your home to be treated. Thank you

My husband and I are foodies who love to travel the world and explore the different culinary wonders. We like to relax by listening to jazz and enjoying a nice bottle of wine. We are both world citizens and love meeting people and hearing their stories. We live between Mexico City and Texas and Tepoztlan in the mountains is our weekend escape to recharge our energies. We are very conscious about the environment and most of the water used in our home is collected rain water. This is the first time we are Airbnb hosting and we hope we can share with our guests a relaxing spiritual experience in our home.
