Description

100 acre mountain farm. The luxurious Rhododendron Suite is a 2-bedroom with kitchenette, private bathroom & private entrance. Other suites are currently under renovation. Also on the property are 10 spacious campsites, camp store and gorgeous bathhouse, hiking trails, stocked fishing pond and fresh garden produce in season.

Blackberry Blossom Inn & Farm has a gorgeous view of the Unaka Mts. The luxurious Rhododendron Suite has the privacy you want and the access you are searching for local events, festivals and adventure.
The suite has in-room Keurig coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, small crock pot, sink, utensils, dish ware, wine glasses, ice, ice bucket, bathroom amenities; soap, shampoo, lotion, hairdryer, and other essentials you may have forgotten.
We provide a small welcome basket of snacks, water, a glass of wine, cheese & crackers and a small Continental breakfast. Should you require a more substantial breakfast, we recommend Clarence's, 5 miles down the road which is a family run restaurant , and are really nice folks.

If you prefer no alcohol in your room, just let us know and we'll substitute something else refreshing. We provide a coffee pod for Keurig maker per guest as part of the Continental breakfast, please feel free to bring additional pods if you drink coffee throughout the day, or it is always available for sale at the camp store.

Linens are high end sheets, pillows and plush towels. Extra blankets and pillows are located in the closet. Flat screen TV is in the main bedroom and has Netflix & Hulu; but currently with limited service. We are working on improving the service reception for both WiFi and TV reception, but you may experience glitches due to the remote location of the Inn. Please also note that cell phone reception is very sketchy due to the remote location and some service providers may not get cell service.

Our space is naturally air conditioned by the cool mountain air and a fan. A quartz heater for each room is in the suite to ward off the chill of cool mornings.
Firefly shows start in June, so enjoy the cool evenings as the sun sets and relax into the peaceful mountain pace.
We are a perfect choice for families visiting children at ETSU or Milligan College. Sometimes it's nice to pluck your child out of the high stress environment of school and give them a peaceful rest. We also cater to business travelers, overflow for family gatherings and vacationers. Even if you are just passing through on your way to somewhere else, give yourself a respite at Blackberry Blossom Inn to recharge for the rest of your travels.

The Rhododendron Suite has private outdoor entrances but is connected to the rest of the Inn. The 100 acres of Appalachian Forest has hiking trails, fishing pond, camp store, blackberry u-pick (in season) and other wonderful amenities.
Guests have access to campground fire pits for cooking or sitting around the fire for s'mores or enjoying a crackling fire. Firewood is available at the camp store for purchase and cast iron cookware & camping dish ware may be used by guests free of charge.

We may be available to give information or wood walks to show medicinal plants, rare wild flowers and a historic grave site with a story. We also have a resource library on local flora & fauna and maps of property hiking trails. The property has an interesting history. Come share this local treasure.

Therapeutic Massage appointments may be made for in-room treatment or in the farm treatment room. These must be made in advance.

We let the guests decide how much interaction they prefer. We respect your privacy but are available if you wish . We're always here for safety issues and emergencies, but also to answer questions and attend to requests or issues that arise.

Blackberry Blossom Inn & Farm is nestled into the mountains of the Limestone Cove community. The property is quiet, private and peaceful. There are several creeks and hiking trails on the property, and a fully stocked fishing pond.
Our neighbors are wonderful friendly folks who wave to all as you pass them on the narrow winding road to the farm. Go slow, you never know what is lazing in the sun as you make your way up into the cove. We frequently encounter turkey, chickens, ducks, peacocks, dogs, and an occasional cow who has nudged under the fence.

Because of the rural location of the Inn, no public transit until Johnson City.
Car rentals are available at Tri-Cities airport, 45 min. away.
The Appalachian Trail, Iron Gap, is 6 miles.
White water rafting on the Nolichucky in Erwin, Roan Mt. State Park, & Johnson City (ETSU and Milligan College) are all 20 min.
Asheville, Jonesborough, Bristol Motor Speedway & Wolf Laurel Ski are 40 min.
Ski slopes at Banner Elk and Sugar Mountain are 60 min.
Boone & Blowing Rock are approx. 70 min.
Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Linville, NC is 50 min. It may also be accessed in Asheville.
Day trips to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are a 2 hour drive. Don't miss Cherokee, NC, on the other side of The Great Smokies, a wonderful Native American museum, seasonal outdoor drama and Native Village reenacting this great tribes history.
We highly recommend online local blog Appalchiantreks written by Mark Peacock for excellent information on the surrounding area. Check it out!

We are laid back but pay extra attention to details. Please feel free to note any additional needs you may have to make your stay with us as comfortable and accommodating as possible. We have both feather and non feather pillows in the room for you to choose from.
Campfire and cooking fire pits are available for suite guest use. They include cooking grate. Firewood may be purchased at the camp store. We have cooking kits with fire pit cookware available for guests use.

Janice's suite is both comfortable and beautiful. She and her husband were wonderful hosts! The house is in a calm, tranquil environment surrounded by nature. The beds were very comfortable and the continental breakfast provided was perfect. We could not ask for a better place to stay when visiting with family in the area!

This was beyond any of our expectations. The pictures do no justice for the beautiful suit & the absolutely stunning campground & view. Janice & Ed are quite the hosts & make sure you feel at home while providing you with as much privacy as you would like. They are also very friendly & welcoming people. The suit had everything you needed and then some! Everyone you encounter on this campground is very heartwarming and outgoing. The gift store was unbelievable and also had everything you may want or need. We will definitely be coming back for more than 2 nights.

This place is just amazing. We were feeling very comfortable. We've spent there only one night but we fell in love with the house and this area. We hope one day we'll have a chance to visit again :)

Janice and Ed are excellent hosts and went above and beyond anything we expected when initially booking our stay. The attention to detail coupled with the amazing scenery around the property made it very easy to relax and not have to worry about anything for a few days! We loved it so much we even added an extra night on to our stay, and will definitely be back in the future for a longer stay!! Highly recommended to anyone looking to relax for a few days whilst exploring the beautiful Smoky Mountains

I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Honestly. So clean, so charming. Family friendly but also could be a romantic getaway. Janice and Ed were so accommodating and kind. A glass of wine, a cheese board, and the cookies were such a lovely and unexpected touch. My friend and I also took advantage of the hiking trails which were a great way to breathe some mountain air and stretch our legs after an 8 hour car ride. Thanks Janice and Ed!

WOW! What a getaway! Come get grounded in this beautiful place! We had an amazing time! The room is so spacious and quiet. Everything is so clean! The jet in the jacuzzi bath is so relaxing. You simply fill out your breakfast card and select when you want it and it will be there waiting for you in the morning. This will be a regular getaway for us! We loved it!

My husband Ed and I own and operate a 100-acre farm which grows blackberries, medicinal herbs and heirloom vegetables. We have a 10-site tent campground on the property in Unicoi County, Tenn., nestled into the forest which adjoins the Cherokee National Forest with excellent hiking trails, a beautiful bathhouse and camp store.
We focus on environmental education of the Appalachian Mountains. The name of our business is Blackberry Blossom Farm, Inn and Campground. We have a website which will tell you who we are and what we do.
I'm a Licensed Therapeutic Massage Therapist and Certified NASM Personal Trainer. Appointments may be made on the farm for in-room massage. I have a background in the hospitality industry and bed and breakfast business.
Our hosting style is variable, according to our guests needs and desires. We are on-site to answer questions, recommend restaurants and activities, or can give you complete privacy. We leave it up to you.
Our Inn currently features the Rhododendron Suite, a 2-bedroom luxury suite with queen beds, kitchenette, deep-jetted tub private bath, private entrances and wraparound deck overlooking the Unaka Mountains. We use high end linens, plush bath towels and robes, toiletries and daily Continental breakfast served in your room. There is always a basket of goodies upon arrival which includes snacks, water bottles, and other surprises. Microwave, mini fridge and sink in kitchenette will allow you to save leftovers from restaurant dinners or cook your own simple meals in the room. All dinnerware, silverware, cooking utensils and paper products are included.
Feel free to walk the property hiking trails into the woodlands and beside creeks. Explore a turn of the century graveyard, marked with field stones and a rich history of the people buried there. Roan Mountain and Johnson City is a short 20 minute drive, Bristol Motor Speedway is 29 miles, Watauga Lake and waterfalls about 10 minutes, and the Appalachian Trail is only 5 miles away. Asheville, NC is a brief 48 minute drive to our south. Flat Screen TV, books, board games and puzzles are available for lending during your stay.

Late Spring of 2017 will bring exciting additions with the opening of the Creekside Suite, a 2-bedroom, large sitting room and kitchenette, private bath accommodation. This beautiful suite will be our largest and features a covered patio, wraparound deck where you can sit in the cool shade beside a running creek. Both suites have private entrances and decks, and luxurious amenities.
Fall of 2017 will bring the opening of the Magnolia Suite, our 1-bedroom, king size bed, handicap accommodations with private bath, roll-in shower and handrails on the wall beside commode. This suite is on ground level with no manipulation of stairs.
With the opening of the Magnolia Suite, we will also be opening the entire Inn for use which will include gathering room with stone fireplace, antique pool table, regulation dart board, reading library, breakfast room overlooking the Unaka Mountain view, full size kitchen and exercise room.
The Inn property is available for weddings, family gatherings, reunions, meetings and workshops.
