Le logement

We are trying to make our place a comfortable and friendly space for our guests. We are still setting up and giving early bird discounts while we are trying to give some personal touch to this place.
We are 2 friends, myself Mithila, originally from India; fell in love with Nepal when I first came in 2012. It was my dream to set up this bed and breakfast since 2014, and now I finally have it and am loving every bit of setting up. I am an avid traveller, a wanderer and am very happy to finally be a host on airbnb (you can view my reviews on my personal airbnb profile here; I have hosted several travellers in my my homes in different countries through couchsurfing (URL HIDDEN) Professionally I am a photographer and move around often for work. By the way, I will also be conducting some photo walks for our guests.
My friend and my partner in this crime, Sanatan (aka Santa); whom I met last year April while we were volunteering for earthquake relief together for almost 2 months. We had a chance to get to know each other well and grew better as friends. While we both love to travel, we have different interests. Santa is a national level Archery and snooker player and is willing to give free archery lessons. There is space for anyone with any interests in our home :)

Accès des voyageurs

Échanges avec les voyageurs

We are travellers ourselves, which the reason why we started this venture so we can meet likeminded people and of course we will be more than happy to help them explore and wander through this beautiful country in every way possible.
Also we plan to exchange souvenirs, so if you can bring us something from the country you are arriving from, we would love to send you away with something Nepali from our end.

Le quartier

We are located in a very peaceful area, surrounded by all the basic amenities. We have super market, cafes, bars, restaurants and a health club just a short walk away. We are also just a few blocks away from a Sunday Farmer's market and a monthly Art's market.

You can walk just 2 minutes outside to the main road and find public transport like tuktuk or taxis to get around town. You can also rent bikes nearby if you want some adventure. Also, we have parking space for bikes and cars.

We had a great stay at Mithila's place! It's within walking distance of several great coffee shops, and it is easy to get a taxi from the area to other parts of the city. The home had a laid back and comfortable atmosphere. Overall good experience!

This place is everything that Airbnb should be! The house is beautiful and peaceful - a real home from home, but it is the hosts that will truly make your stay an unforgettable experience! A friend that we met in Mongolia recommended this place to us and we're so glad she did! The elated of Patan is also super chilled with loads of cool coffee shops, cafes and bars. Can't recommend this place enough - a must stay! We are definitely going back!

Mithila & Santa were very accommodating and nice hosts. The place was in a great location - situated in walking distance to various bars/restaurants - perfect for exploring Patan. Their guest house also attracts a good bunch of fellow travelers that I enjoyed hanging out with during my weekend stay. Will be back if I stop through KTM again. Thanks guys!

Really welcoming host! I have been to the place before to check and it was nice Santa took time for this. Really easy to communicate with Santa and Mithila. The house is really clean and we have a big and comfortable bedroom. We have spent a good time at breakfast speaking with them. You are close from the taxi station to move and the area is quiet. Go to this house to avoid touristic place! they provide towels and breakfast : really nice!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay! My room was bright and clean, lovely garden to hangout and do yoga if that's your thing! But set tangible elements aside it's the people that makes my experience different. I felt so welcome and looked after by the hosts. When I got sick from food poisoning they made me soup and gave me medicine. The made me super delicious Nepalese food for dinner and always had my favourite cereal ready in the morning before I left the house. It felt like staying at home away from home and I feel so blessed to have met them.

We are 2 friends, myself Mithila & Sanatan (a.k.a Santa) hosting guests in our lovely home.

About me:
Personal: I am a photographer and I love to travel and meet people from around the world. I am a very curious person. I like to learn about other countries and their culture.
Perfection is boring to me. I like imperfect and unsafe environments, which make space for challenges. I aim to travel and lead a life that gives me an adrenalin rush and I intend to document all my journeys through my camera.

5 things I can't live without are travel, mountains, camera, music & books.

Philosophy: The risks that you don't take are the risks you regret.

Professionally: I am a social documentary/humanitarian photographer working with organisations like UNICEF, UNDP, USAID and many other development agencies in several countries across the globe. I also work on various commissioned travel, editorial and other commercial assignments and conduct photography workshops in several countries with different media collectives, corporates and students.
