200m to village, elegant little private cottage set in "Netherhall" gardens.
Modern rustic style. Real log fire. Cosy queen mezzanine bedroom, exposed beams, comfy electric blankets. Fully equipped kitchen. French doors to verandah. Walk to glow worms. Spoil yourself each evening with a soak in the full-size clawfoot bath, bubbles provided. Enjoy your complimentary tawny port as you settle in under the rug for a movie or game. Choose a paperback to take home. Book now and we'll put the fire on!
The cottage used to be an artist studio and a barn before that. It is set in the lovely gardens of "Netherhall" (c.1903). Your hosts, Brian and Juanita, live in the residence at the top of the garden, but the cottage is quite private with its own separate access off Victoria St.
The bedroom is in a mezzanine loft overlooking the lounge. The cosy queen bed has very comfy electric blankets. The bedroom has a bird's eye view over the garden.
The bathroom also has a garden view. There is a full-size clawfoot bath and a range of bubbles and salts to try while you soak out your stress. The floor is of Himalayan sandstone, with fossils visible.
There are many birds about. Watch for the red and green King Parrots. Crimson rosellas and black cockatoos are also frequent visitors.
The garden has been lovingly preserved in the style of the era in the planting selection and 'Edna Walling-esque' garden design. As current owners, we are keen to continue to nurture and complete this vision (if a garden can ever be said to be complete!).

We live in the house at the top of the garden. We will look out for you when you arrive and come down to greet you and help you settle in. Feel free to SMS any time during the weekend. We are happy to spend as much or as little time with you as you like. We have a grand piano up in the house and we like nothing better than to have a singalong. If you need Scrabble or Pictionary partners, we're up for that too! We can also accompany you on a local bush walk if you like (please check ahead regarding availability for this).
Bundanoon is a historic rail town. We have a great Countrylink service to Sydney or Goulburn/Canberra (you must book ahead). We also have goods trains going through at night. We are two blocks away from the tracks, but you can still hear them if you are not used to them. Please bring earplugs if you think you may be disturbed.
You are welcome to bring your baby to Morton Cottage (BYO cot), however please note that the accommodation is not suitable for mobile toddlers. There is a backyard pond, open stairs through which they could fall and a fireplace which can cause serious burns.
Si vous annulez jusqu'à 7 jours avant le voyage, vous recevez un remboursement à hauteur de 50 %. En cas d'annulation au cours des 7 jours précédant le voyage, la réservation est non remboursable.

Up until recently, we have lived at Cronulla beach in Sydney where Brian loves to surf and Juanita loves to walk and pat other people's dogs. We like bushwalking and discovering new places and trying to spot native creatures. Brian has had medical issues these last few years (from which we are both recovering) but prior to this enjoyed a career in radiography. Juanita has a background in environmental science, and has worked on various projects until she left her government career to do aid work. We lived in South Carolina for a couple of years when Juanita worked for an international aid agency. Juanita loves playing piano and trying to learn French.
