Description

A rural location and a sanctuary from the stress, noise and air pollution of cities. Guests can take woodland and lakeside walks, go on forest runs, observe wildlife, visit castles and Neolithic sites. 14 miles from Enniskillen, 40 miles from Sligo.

The bedroom is small, suitable for a single person or couple. Looks onto a garden with fruit trees and a small but bio-rich pond. The quietness and comfortable bed ensures a good night's sleep.

Guests have access to bathroom, kitchen, living room and library which has an extensive range of books and journals. Use of internet, Netflix, TV and radio.

I will assists guests in any way I can. I have good local knowledge and will drive guests for a small fee to places that interest them. Enniskillen is 14 miles away. It has excellent restaurants, cosy bars, a theatre, cinema and an interesting range of shops. Boats are for hire on Lough Erne as are tours. Belleek is 10 miles, and Sligo, known as Yates Country - after the famous poet - is 40 miles away.

One of the attractions of the neighbourhood is that it is within the Marble Arch Caves Global Geopark. The cottage is a ten minute walk from Correl Glen, an area of ancient woodland which has ASSI (Area of Special Scientific Interest) and SAC (Special Area of Conversation) status. The cottage is in one of the most bio-rich areas of Northern Ireland. There are two Plantation era castles near by. The nears beaches are in Donegal, approximately 35 minutes drive away.

If you arrive by car, parking at the cottage is free. Guests can use the cottage bicycle for local trips. I will by arrangement take guests to places that interest them for a basic fee and collect and return them to the bus station in Enniskillen. The location is ideally suited for someone who wants an urban de-toxic.

Derrygonnelly is 4 miles away. It is the nearest village and bus stop . I will collect guests from Derrygonnelly or Enniskillen if they wish and return them to either. Guests would pay petrol costs.

There is a house cat. It spends most of the daylight hours outside and is restricted where it can go in the house.

Règlement intérieur

The house is non-smoking. Slippers to be worn in the house rather than outdoor foot ware. No loud music or loud radio or TV broadcasts after 9.00pm. Vacate by 10.30am.

I have a positive attitude towards life. I enjoy the outdoors, solitude, company, reading, writing, listening, cycling, walking, jogging and I have a keen interest in environmental and justice issue. I am a father of a young teenager whose wellbeing is central to me. I have also brothers and sisters who are important to me as well as a few friends.
