This spacious 1 bedroom apartment is ideal for a family or group visiting DC. Parking is available and must be reserved in advance.

In one of the trendiest neighborhoods in DC, you'll love this spacious 1050 square feet modern 1BR ground level apartment located in a historic rowhouse just steps from Meridian Hill Park. The apartment comes fully furnished with a Queen-size bed in the bedroom, a comfy Full-size sofabed, TV (with WiFi and Internet included), large fully equipped modern kitchen and stainless steel appliances, full access to glassware, silverware, dishes and cookware; dining area, a small rear patio for entertaining, and parking available and must be reserved in advance.

The entire apartment is available for our guests, including WiFi. A secure key box is provided to gain access.

The owners live five blocks away and are available to address any issues, day or night. We have lived in the area for over ten years and are happy to give you as much information and suggestions as you desire.

The apartment is located in the most active and thriving area of Washington DC, but on a quiet one-way street between 14th Street and Meridian Hill Park. The street itself is quiet, but you're close to all the trendy restaurants and cutting-edge shopping, bars, live music, coffee shops, gyms, and boutique stores that line 14th Street. There's a full-service grocery store (Street Markets) at the end of the block, and Harris Teeter and Trader Joe's are also a few blocks away. There are also other convenience stores nearby such as CVS, 7-Eleven, etc. Other adjacent neighborhoods such as Logan Circle, Adams Morgan, and Columbia Heights are an easy walk away. And Meridian Hill Park with its beautiful fountains and the most spectacular views of the city is less than 50ft. from the apartment.

The apartment is a short walk from 2 Metro stations: U Street/Cardozo and Columbia Heights (on the Green and Yellow lines). There are also frequent bus lines (S2, S4 on 16th Street; and 52, 53, 54 on 14th Street) that take you directly to popular destinations such as the White House, the National Mall, the Smithsonian museums, and other attractions. There's also a Capital Bikeshare station at the end of the block, but the apartment is so centrally located that you can walk to all major attractions. For example, the White House is just a short 20 minute walk.

You'll be staying in a quiet home on a quiet street, however everything you need is at your fingertips.

Logement qui se trouve effectivement en rez de rue et donc une hauteur sous plafond qui peut paraître juste pour des gens très grands. Nous et nos 1m80 étions plus ou moins correcte mais au dessus .. pas sur que ça le fasse. Mais malgré cela un bel appartement avec du charme et tout l’équipement nécessaire pour passer un agréable séjour. Un emplacement parking très pratique. Bon séjour dans l'ensemble.

For a 1 BR unit, the place offered a spacious dining and living area for four. But definitely worth endorsing is how orderly and clean the place is. The approach to the basement unit wasn't very attractive but once we got in, it was wow. It was a short walk to the main street with a grocer but with a bit of an incline going back. Complete amenities and everything worked except for the clothes washer which stopped in the middle of the wash but the host was quick to help. I'd definitely consider booking this place again.

We stayed at the basement and everything was as described. Scott is a great host and very responsive. Will stay again for sure and recommend to others

This a great value for the neighborhood and space of the apartment! Large living room and full kitchen made our mornings and evenings easygoing with our toddler. The bedroom is on the other end of the apartment from the living area, so we didn't have to worry about our noise disrupting our little one's sleep. The neighborhood is amazing! Lots of shops and restaurants near by. A great intersection of U Street, Adams Morgan, and Columbia Heights. 5-10 minute walk to many restaurants, 15 minute walk to Adams Morgan, 20 minute walk to the zoo. Easy, downhill, 40 minute walk to National Mall, but the Bus stop at the end of the street will take you there too. Word of caution if not familiar with D.C., parking is nuts. If you arrive before the 2pm check in, you'll need to have a plan for parking. The street where the apartment is is permit only (or risk being towed). Host generously provided a parking permit and if you reservist it, a spot in the back of the apartment. This is a basement apartment and was a little awkward getting into from the front, but the back door is ground level. Even if you don't reserve a parking space in the back once you have the key, drive around and unload, it's much easier.

What a great place for our family vacation! Close to 2 grocery stores & only a couple of blocks from the Green line. Everything was clean & easy to find. I really enjoyed being able to do laundry so we didn't go home with a mountain to do.

The place is great, close to the main D.C. interesting places. Great neighborhood, with à park to relax and a good organic grocery store. Go to Kapnos Greek restaurant, it's amazing. Kenneth was very helpful, we appreciated a lot.
