My wife and I very much enjoyed our 10 day stay at Kimberly's apartment. There are 5 buildings within the property, 4 facing the ocean and 1 building at the rear. Kimberly's unit faces the beach at the north end of the property. The apartment is large and well equipped with king bed in master which was very comfortable. AC in bedrooms worked well and quiet. Apartment was clean with lots of linen and beach towels. Sofa and other small bench in living room could use upgrade. Wifi was strong except for master bedroom with good signal even on beach. Outside grounds were amazing and well maintained by Karl, the friendly gardener. As others have stated, this place was a little oasis indeed! The beach was everything I imagined, clean with soft silky white sand, turquoise/blue ocean. The beach in this area of the west coast is very private, occasionally a few people pass; it felt like it was all our own. As others mentioned, the drive in takes you past the Barbados Electric Power supply plant which is not the most pleasing site. Honestly it never bothered us and once we settled in, we could not see it from the apartment or outside gardens. There is a fish market nearby at the south end of the property, on the other side of apartments 7/8 where locals and guests can purchase fresh fish. My only gripe is several afternoons around 3-4 PM, we could detect a fishy smell on the beach and see evidence of fish parts (fins, etc.) floating by while swimming. Needless to say we were not thrilled the fish market would do this. I meant to say something but never got around to it as we were focused on having a great time. Though the fish market was a wee issue, the power plant was a non-issue. Overall our vacation was tremendous, we had a wonderful time, enjoyed many swims, lots of sunshine and great food. We are planning to visit Barbados again soon and Kimberly's apartment will be high on our list.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for three nights and enjoyed the apartment and the sunsets! Kimberly was very responsive and helped us get a taxi to the airport at 2 AM, which was not easy! Please note - While you cannot see the power plant from the apartment, you can see the power plant from the beach and when you're in the water. The beach is absolutely beautiful... but there is also a large run off pipe of hot coolant water that flows directly into the ocean about 300 meters down the beach. This is referred to by locals as the "hot pot" and is considered non toxic, but I would have appreciated knowing that before my stay!

This apartment was perfect for us! We were in Barbados for our honeymoon, and it offered the perfect amount of seclusion and proximity to things we wanted to do. The photos don't do it justice. The beach is beautiful and is literally steps off your back patio. It felt like a private resort - we only saw a few people, mostly locals fishing and exercising, and the occasional horse taking a dip in the sea. The garden is beautiful and well maintained, and is a shady, private oasis just steps from the beach. The neighbors and apartment staff were extremely friendly and full of knowledge. The apartment has plenty of space, all the essentials (we cooked several meals there), AC, TV, and WiFi that even worked on the beach. We rented a car, which I highly recommend (FYI: driving is on the left, lots of roundabouts, have a good map/GPS and patience!), and got to see so much of the beautiful island! The apartment was the perfect home base, conveniently located to west coast beaches and villages, the touristy south coast and the island's central gardens and caves. The east coast, north point, and Oistins are all just short car rides away and make for great afternoon/day trips. Kimberly made it easy from start to finish. She arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport, gave great suggestions on restaurants and things to do, checked in during our stay, and was quick to answer questions. She was a great host! We're already discussing when we can come back to Barbados, and we can't imagine staying anywhere else! Stay at Kimberly's, and you can lounge on your own beautiful Caribbean beach, explore Barbados, eat fresh-caught seafood, watch an amazing sunset from your tropical garden, and walk across the street to grab dinner and drinks from the rum bar - all in one day!

This is a wonderful little apartment right next to a beautiful garden and a very quiet beach. I actually picked this place because I was working at the national archives of Barbados, on the campus of UWI Cave Hill, and this place was easily walkable to the University, but I would also definitely recommend it for vacationers. It is part of a small complex that with very friendly neighbors and it is all well maintained. Although it is tucked in behind the power station, you really can't see or hear it at all. The place itself is well equipped - not upscale, but very comfortable.

Centrally located this two bedroom place was the perfect size for our family of 3. The beach actually has great snorkeling, just head out to the right down the beach 100 meters. About 75-100 meters offshore you'll see amazing coral and plenty of fish species. We found it easy to head into Holetown or Bridgetown for dinner and activities just a short 15 minute drive in either direction. Overall, we have a bit of mixed feeling on our stay. Kimberly was extremely responsive to all the things within her control and does an excellent job of managing the property. I will be honest and say that many other visitors commented on the power plant next door not being a big issue, but for us it did bother us a bit as we drove by it each day and it is not the nicest thing to look at nor is the "fishing village" which has a large dumpster that was overfilled the entire time we were there. At night you would never notice any of this. In addition, I should note that all the doors at these apartments have security gates/bars on them which are recommended to be locked via pad locks at night or when you are not there. We had no security issues at all, but it does make one wonder why these are needed by everyone. Lastly, be aware that there is a bar which is very close to the apartment and it definitely can get loud on Thursday nights. For the most part the apartment was nice and the other residents very helpful and kind.
