A beautiful arts and crafts 3 bedroom/ 1 bath home in Dunedin's most prestigious neighbourhood. Tucked just below Highgate, Northwards is a quiet character house that offers a stunning view of the harbour. A five minute walk in either direction will bring you to the Roslyn/Maori Hill villages with their vibrant cafes, shops, bakery and grocery. Perfect for a couples weekend or a romantic getaway.
"Northwards" was built in the 1930's and retains many of its Arts and Crafts features. This lovely two story, three bedroom home is both spacious and cosy with many little spots to curl up and read or larger areas to laugh with friends. There is easy (flat!) access to the two villages up on the hill or the city bus stops metres away to whisk you downtown, to Otago University or the many museums on its circular route ( the best bus line for traveling around where you really want to go!). A 15-20 minute walk down hill will take you on a scenic well kept path through the town's lush, bird-filled Greenbelt and past historic Olveston House on your way into the middle of the main shopping area, George Street and close to the theatres. It is also a quick 10 minute downhill walk to indoor swimming, waterslide and fitness centre at the Moana Pool complex. A $10 taxi from the Octagon will have you whisked back home after a day of exploring.
